Network Basics - Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU)

Hi, so what’s the solution to this ?

How about the rest of the path? If I adjust the MTU on a given link, wouldn't it be necessary to try to make the rest of the path accommodate this size as well?

Don't call something "Network Basics" and fill it entirely with jargon and prerequisite knowledge.

what happens if on R1 the inbound is 1518 and outbound is 1492?

My primary router MTU is 1492 and my secondary router MTU is 1500 so can i changed it to 1492 on secondary router?

If ipv6 does not have a “Don’t fragment bit” what stops the router from just fragmenting the packet and sending them out. Instead of sending an ICMP packet too big msg back to the sender sir?
