Hi, so what’s the solution to this ?
ОтветитьHow about the rest of the path? If I adjust the MTU on a given link, wouldn't it be necessary to try to make the rest of the path accommodate this size as well?
ОтветитьDon't call something "Network Basics" and fill it entirely with jargon and prerequisite knowledge.
ОтветитьYou're awesome
ОтветитьThanks for the video
ОтветитьGreat video! But damn you sound just like Danny McBride if he had a degree in CS lol
ОтветитьGreat explanation
Ответитьwhat happens if on R1 the inbound is 1518 and outbound is 1492?
ОтветитьMy primary router MTU is 1492 and my secondary router MTU is 1500 so can i changed it to 1492 on secondary router?
ОтветитьIts like ‘wired bandwidth’????
Ответитьno one explain this better! thx Kevin!
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьI don’t get it
ОтветитьOmg everything is wrong here people who is new in this won't understand shit for sure, mtu goes to mtu not from mtu to mtu lol
Ответитьur a god
ОтветитьHe simply says alot of nothing in this video.
Ответитьcame here to learn MTU so I could understand PMTU path discovery, which also included in this clip. Thank you, Mr Wallace!
ОтветитьIn way over my head here. Thumbs up if you're here because you're curious why lowering your MTU on PS4 let's you play GTA 5 Online solo... lol
ОтветитьLove how you put sound effects to explain it in laymans term
ОтветитьSo whats the deal then...keep it to default 1500 or 1492 or in my router its 1480 as default...whats optimal then???
ОтветитьIf ipv6 does not have a “Don’t fragment bit” what stops the router from just fragmenting the packet and sending them out. Instead of sending an ICMP packet too big msg back to the sender sir?
ОтветитьIt's Always on 1500
ОтветитьKevin what if we are adjusting the mss on r1 interface which then safely make things work even for the traffic originated from switch?
ОтветитьHello Sir, You have explained the concept so simple way. This is reason I was always attracted towards Your Lectures from the beginning. Thank You So Much.
ОтветитьPerfect explanation, thanks, Kevin!
Ответитьwhy isnt the trailer added for example fcs
ОтветитьThanks a lot Kevin for all your videos, My CCNP r/s is about to expire and I am planning to recertification by taking only the tshoot exam, do you think it is the right choice? Please I need your advise.
ОтветитьIs this because of Duplex settings like Half/Full/auto
ОтветитьExcellent video Kevin. Notifications switched on. There videos are perfect for watching on the way to work or before bed.
ОтветитьSimple and brilliant. Great job!
ОтветитьThank you for the video, excellent explanation. Proper job! :)
ОтветитьBrilliant Kevin as usual, absolutely astonishing.
ОтветитьI've always liked Kevin. Good job again.
Ответитьcisco is a huge huge industry, not ccna, or ccnp will teach you the real life industry. why dont u make a video for Nat pinning, or nat hairpinning, acls, dialers for vdls/adsl and vpn users with split tunneling
ОтветитьThis video on MTU is excellent!
ОтветитьWhat a great video! I would wish that I had seen such a video when I started out in networking, explicitly stating that MTU is not just L2 OR L3. Thank you!
ОтветитьVery complete explanation.
