When Your Flight Sim Hobby Goes TOO FAR!

Each to there own of course. I luv DCS, have VIRPIL Throttles/Sticks/Control Panel/Thrustmaster TPR/Tobi5/5900x/3090/4090/55inchOled/34inch UW.....but thats as far as i go, gumped stagnant VR for Tob5. I cringe at the triple screened/VR/Cockpit nonsense

Sure I'lll pick up Beyond ATC, but the wait is too long, from announcement to a potential whenever release made me buy other things and I'll most probably never go to Beyond ATC now. It's one thing to announce and develop and include a potential community, but keeping it that way for too long is just frustrating for lot of people

Why not vr? Gets you really inside the machine. Free look and most important thing: sense of depth - this is quite important in flight sims no?

Nice setup!! I adore my Virpil Rudder pedals which has very nice toe brakes (I use interceptor pedals)

use Virpil Controllers. Expensive but worth it...

nah its never too far ima get immersed with the shooting games i play in vr and get a treadmill with fbt

I used to have six monitors; moved to VR...

pressurize the room too , or use oxygen mask for extra immersion

Damn it, the dude' setup cost definitely way more than a Cessna which could bring him to the real sky....

Love it! Although with the amount of equipment here I would have no time to play from working to pay for everything and the electric bill lol. By the way definitely check out IL2: Sturmovik if you have only played DCS. It has insane damage modeling, for instance I have had pieces of enemy control surfaces come back and damage my propeller lol

Get a Pimax Crystal and be done with it...

I've got a number of the same items you do including chair and quadrant but my setup is vastly inferior to yours. Very nicely done. And great idea with those pin boards for a cheap but immersive way of covering all the cables.

Nice setup. Not high end but not entry level either. Yes big mistake for the rudder, but easy to correct as there are so many high end choices on the market. The 3 55 inches are amazing although you could prefer one day to have a high end VR headset instead with mixed reality to your cockpit.

I would think the number one question would be how much did you spend... Because brother I can tell you you could have got your pilot license and rented a plane every weekend for a year with what you spent on that and actually did the real thing while picking up a skill oops

Overdoing it is wearing a helmet, planting explosives that go off if you are shot down.

This is really cool, but I think VR is just so much more immersive and requires less physical hardware at the same time.
