WINE needs to go byebye, forever. It's time to sue MS into releasing an API that allows every winapp to run on any OS. This can be done. The WINE devs cry too much about clean room and principals, screw those guys. We don't need them. Time to take off the gloves.

It always comes down to the problem where it says the program encountered serius issues and had to stop. I tried steelseriesgg no success.

How to add a D drive in bottles? I need to manually move exe to a D drive for it to run. But I cant figure out how to make a D drive so the app thinks it is on a d drive?

Hello. With this I would be able to run adobe applications like lightroom and photoshop? Basically they are the reason why I have not migrated yet to Linux and alternatives like Gimp and Darktable are a joke for those who use adobe professionally.

Anymore, it's getting to where I don't need Windows. The only programs I might have some difficulty with are Photoshop, Logos, MediaMonkey and WinSCP. I'll have to try and see. I'm using Garuda Dragonized right now and have found it's a bit of a mess to manage. I'd like to move to something a little less geeky (meaning I don't have to manage dependencies so much from the command line). I wonder what would be best? Manjaro caught my eye, but there are so many great distros out right now.

Installers dont work i dont know that to do i finnish seting up the installer file and it dossent to anything it dossent and it to the proram files so what do i do i have to get the program files from a windows install this app dossent work

There's a simple solution to the apps creating stuff in the home folder and sub folders, wine can just do a couple of symbolic links, one in the home folder leading to the emulated home folder and another in the emulated folder leading to the actual home folder, old apps will just create stuff in the emulated folder and new apps can just offer to save it in the actual home folder via a folder selection dialogue

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04 and for some reason I wasn't able to install Wine in my machine because can't install Wine32, I try any solution I got from the internet but nothing work so far, but fortunately Bottles work pretty well

I tried so hard to get Bottles to run Adobe Acrobat Pro to edit PDFs. I tried 3 different Acrobat versions, and each one had its own Bottles problem. Didn't open, weird error, etc. I couldn't find any Bottles logs to understand what's going. I wish there was a DB/catalog of Bottles instruction guides per app. I gave up and installed a Windows VM

Wine is a good idea but it's just a good idea. It doesn't work for most of the apps
