Starlink battle for Atlus is a smaller, tighter, and ultimately better game that nobody played. Very similar to No Man's Sky.

Well, sadly it has not story (otherwise it sounds nearly perfect) - I sadly am not a fan of games like Minecraft! Games should IMHO have a story and a goal!

I'm about to start playing after putting in almost 400 hours into Starfield. From what I hear, NMS scratches a lot of the itches that Starfield creates.

The awesome thing with the new Echoes Update that came out in August 2023 is that you can become a well-known space pirate by f***ing destroying civilian frieghters and you can get away with it by eventually getting far enough away from Sentinel Interceptors that they lost track of you. Yes, I have done it multiple times and the Vykeens are my enemies... that's totally fine cause you can eventually get the reputation back in multiple ways... and I am a freaking Gek. That's the beauty with this game, you can do WHATEVER YOU WANT!? Put yourself in the shoes of that traveler.

No mans sky is on sale on the PS store right now for half price ($29.99 instead of $59.99 for the PS5 and PSVR2 versions) and yes you get both for the same price, and can freely switch back and forth between versions at will

small thing. you actually can randomly run into players now apparently. it was added as a part of one of the updates, forgot which. but it basically connects two (or more) players who happen to be in the same system to a local network and they're able to play together. pretty neat. it's never happened to me but i've heard of it happening to some people.

It's definitely worth getting... the game is AMAZING. It's basically what most space sim fans want in a game:

- Warp, Fly, Land, Walk, Drive, Creature Ride, Swim on any planet, throughout countless solar systems... explore everywhere in 3rd or 1st person
- Find scorching planets with volcanos, toxic infestations & rain, freezing tornado blizzards, and tropical paradises with stunning night sky or with lightning. Even has meteor strikes!
- Dive in caves and find mysterious objects or dig your own den to avoid the dangers outside.
- Meet aliens, discover their culture, learn their history & language, help them with missions. Discuss opportunities or places to discover.
- Discover strange monsters including sandworms & dinosaurs, black market traders and crashed derelicts as you travel across an infinite space. Capture the monsters and use them as pets to help you on your journey.
- Build bases anywhere with multiple floors for anything you want. Teleport to them with ease and store resources as you explore the galaxy
- Setup the electronics in each base with lights, switches and proximity sensors. Party it up with your new light and sound show or setup electronics to open automatically like your own space show
- Cook meals for you and your guests with crafted meal receipes from animals you herded yourself. Enjoy the bonus from eating various ingredient combinations
- Trade throughout the universe; buy stock items and warp between Space stations, Airports and minor settlements to make money
- Or become a fighter and hunt traders, other pirates, or the law. Use an emergency jump and get the hell outta there
- Get an Aircraft Carrier to store your Fighters, Haulers and Exploration vessels. Customize the floating base with your own personal rooms and equipment. Trade with aliens that land in your new Mother Ship, or buy their ships out completely
- Build up your fleet of Cruisers to protect you and the Carrier. Send them out to various missions and reap the rewards or suffer the damage from mistakes
- Land directly on the Cruisers of your fleet and gather their profits or explore their engine room to repair the damage
- Upgrade your Carrier, ships, vehicles, guns & backpack with better shields, weapons, and storage space.
- Join multiplayer in all of the above and blow your mind.

20 hours in after 60 hours of starfield. Having a much better time

I hate waiting for slow dialogue, I need to read ahead and skip.

They trashed the combat recently. Inside the shield of a capital ship, can do zero damage Until you knock out all the stupid shield pods. It's just lost it for me. Pointless game.

I'm considering giving this game another try, I'm just curious is it still a 15-20 min wait to get from planet to planet?

I’ve been deciding if I should or should not buy NMS. I love the whole idea of the game, but I know that it’s complicated and there’s a lot of things you need to get your head around. I’m just scared that it’s going to be too complicated and all that. But should I still give it a chance? I don’t want to waste my money.

I believe on the switch you can't play with people right? Because you said that there is full multiplayer even on switch, or am i wrong ?

Literally just got back into the game this week and binged it with over 40 hours smacked into my new world and already having 40 in my previous.

In that time I completed the main story thread found a S tier Freighter with a decent fleet and half power squad, an exotic ship very luckily, and have a decent base set up at a trade post.

I’d say you’re wrong about the story aspect as the main story “if you actually read it” is quite immersive and sorta philosophical and a little meta but gives you a good chunk of gameplay.

That being said I literally forgot about the main story until I had my base, freighter, exocrafts, etc. but I blitzed through it in about 20 hours so yeah not significant but still note worthy
