The fact that there are Russian tanks in top tier is evidence of bias.

All that talk about Russian bias and I hear nobody about the blatant WW2 German bias. Such as the Pz IV G and Pz IV H being absoluty OP for their BR's, facing Shermans and T-34 with much less pen.

So I heard, there is no Russian bias, but the tanks are not a susceptible to damage on penetration, there is something in the code seems to verify this. And i repeat; there is no Russian bias. All i know is when i want to go stomp the battlefield i take Russian tanks. Easier to one shot others, harder to penetrate or survive more hits than equivalent tanks particularly USA tanks. French tanks are also a go to tank for winning. All this is disputed by actual battlefield evidence. Nicely done comrade!!

the tiny and few weakspot on their t64 and up tanks their supreme lights and tankiest aircraft stock or premium, their rather convinent no exploding ammo or fuel tanks eating up rounds. even their aps tanks darts like no tommorow, their barrels just sliding of darts if they where a slide. nato tanks have gaint weakspots on all sides, this results in russian players having far more time to hold w and just win the game in 3 to 5 minutes if not faster.

all that weird lucky stuff mostly happen exclusivly to russian vehicles. sometimes others yea but not nearly as much as russian tanks etc. even their trench digging tool gives 64 armour on top of the rest. even the tiny plates on the rear top turret bounced my l26.......

There is Russian bias, much of their developers are in Russia and just like Russia, they lie about the facts and add cheats for the Russian and Chinese tanks, because in real life these tanks suck. 😂

Personally, I wish that all American equipment would be raised by +2 br. Because I'm tired of constantly seeing that the American team wins because no one can penetrate their tanks, or let them remove all American equipment. Although I want to note that in reality, the Americans had nothing but the M4 during the entire war. All other tanks appeared either at the end of 1945 or projects were abandoned. That is, logically, starting with the Panzer 4 and ending with the Tiger 2, as well as the T34-85 and IS2, the M4 should fight. Not some T 34, T29, M6, M26, M26E5, M4E3A2, M41, etc. IS THAT OK? Its not that russia is a biased nation its just the fact that they take very little skill to use as they have very powerfull tanks that are easy to get kills with and stop shells very easily for the most part nevermind this sounds like bias

In WT (PC/Console) Soviet and Chinese tanks are strong but in WT Mobile, Soviet and Chinese are not just strong but they also made American tanks a weak sh!t in the game. At first I thought Japanese tanks are strong but after playing for years I realized that american and western tanks are just weak. Since I played mostly American and German tanks. Imagine a Soviet and Chinese IFV and BMP can withstand a direct hit from ATGM even in weak spot. Lmao

I believe you are severely underestimating the power of propaganda. Moreover, I think you are severely underestimating the typical Russians understanding of propaganda.
As if it needs to be said… Russia’s economy is the size of California’s.
For almost 100 years, Russia has been more concerned with betraying military strength than actually obtaining it. Understandable given the size of their economy…. Or desert storm…. Or Ukraine… or (the history of and current state of) the Russian Navy.

War thunder alone is already way more profitable than it has any right to be; to say that war thunder is a business first and foremost, implying that they have a capitalist mindset in regards to their game, I think is false.

Much like tactics used by the CCP and other dictators, I don’t think it would be a stretch to assume that the Kremlin most likely has someone check in on the goings-on of ( one of ) Russia’s most exported game, making sure that it is “properly portraying the motherland”.

But one thing is for certain. The last thing I would call it is “Russian patriotism”.

I think on the 'Russian Bias' argument people need to realize that this is not some Gaijin Propaganda or Nationalism; Gaijin is just really bad at making Warthunder work properly. There are absurdly busted vehicles in every nation at one br or another, and at certain brs a given nation might dominate massively. American air for example has essentially the best planes (or atleast an extremely good one) at every single br. Is this American Bias? No. Gaijin just has a deeply flawed method of balancing and very poor quality control.

I currently having an inquiry with Gaijin as to why the plates don't spall. While I believe they're steel IRL, it's possible that it's an aramid spall liner. There are also a surprising amount of comments which seemed to entirely miss the point of the video. I thought I made it explicitly clear that I do not think Russian tanks being buffed unrealistically is a good thing, and advocated for the changes to be reversed. I'm sorry if this is harsh, but I feel that saying it is Russian bias because "Bias is when something is favored unfairly, and Russian tanks are being favored unfairly" is being obtuse. The term "Russian bias" in War Thunder has always referred to nationalistic bias, IE Russian vehicles being buffed purely because the devs are Russian. That is what the video is talking about. Top tier Russian tanks are being favored because it's monetarily efficient to cycle through making one nation extremely powerful at top tier. Players are lured to buy premium vehicles and time by dangling this performance over their heads, saying "This nation is the best, you don't want to be on the losing side do you?" This same scenario has been mirrored before with other nations. Upon its introduction, the M1 Abrams was incredibly overpowered and was modeled in such a way that it practically could not be ammo racked. The AH-1Z was completely uncontested when it was added two updates later. Favor shifted towards Germany after that.They received the 2A5, 2A6, and F&F PARS missiles. The 2A5 and 2A6 had some very questionable DM modeling which made them stupidly strong, and they didn't receive true equals until recently. I shouldn't have to elaborate on how broken Germany was, it's recent enough that everyone should remember. Now Russia is in the spotlight. All nations had win rates in excess of 70% during their dominance, and would you believe it, just a few BRs lower their teams would always be filled with swarms of rank 6 premiums. XM1 spam, L44 spam, TURMS spam, they all have the same root cause. Screaming "Russian bias" is making the leap to the least likely conclusion and it poisons any discussion about balancing top tier. It makes anyone calling for Russian tanks to be nerfed look like a conspiracy theorist.
