Quick question. Lets say you have a cobblestone generator, then you turn your cobblestone into stone through a furnace, you place that stone down and convert it into moss. The sniffer will dig up seeds from the moss. Where did the seeds come from if the block was originally generated from Water and Lava???
ОтветитьNice farm, but to be honest I think I would use a music box, a couple allays and a wool wall around a slightly larger area, allays would drop the seeds into a collection system
I'm not sure what would cause more lag, minecart constantly moving. Or a few allays flying in a cotton box
Can you explain why it's unfortunate that the 20 memory blocks is per sniffer. Why does that matter, and how it would make sense for it to be shared?
ОтветитьA cool hack if you don’t have respiration or water breathing is bringing at least 1 magma block, crouching on it refills your bubbles under water without taking damage.
Ответитьi checjed a ruin and found 2 lol
Ответитьquick fast and easy to build just the way i like it! thanks for the set up. Came here to figure out minimum suggested build, got a build that is as good if not better than what i would of done... time to make farm... i mean a zoo exhibit...
ОтветитьEasy way: just breed em'
ОтветитьOf course I build it and the server im in doesnt allow it awesome
Ответитьkeep in mind you need to afk alot closer to it for it to collect seeds than other farms or at least thats what i have noticed
ОтветитьFor some reason my sniffer farm is really slow and in almost one hour I only got one seed. Though granted I only have 2 sniffers in there at the moment. Any advice? It's on a server so could that slow down the rates?
ОтветитьStill the camel is not a camel, it's a dromedary (1 hump), camels have 2 humps.
ОтветитьHands down the best name for sniffers is "Brandon!"
ОтветитьCan u make this bigger to make it more efficant
ОтветитьIf you use mud, which (at least on Java, I don't play or care about Bedrock) is not a full block, then you can use regular hoppers instead of a minecart.
ОтветитьI searched for two irl days and found nothing, then found 3 eggs in one ruin.. the PAIIN
Ответитьif you want to place a bunch of moss, you can place stone first and get 1 moss block, then bonemeal al lthe moss. all you have to do in the end is just destroy all excess, which can turn into more bonemeal if u need
ОтветитьHi, i found few tutorials out there, and everyone is around the same lines. A perma-running hopper cart railway, covered with diggable blocks (say dirt/grass) where sniffers graze. though my collector box is always empty, while the dug seed roam on the grazing area. (2023 - java - 1.20.1)
ОтветитьThe sniffers sploot on the ground. The camels yeet (that's what the dash is called in subtitles). I love this
ОтветитьI found 2 sniffer eggs in the 2nd ocean monument I visited.
ОтветитьHaving not looked at any vids, I built an experimental 8x8 farm in my world using mud since it's the only Sniffer-compatible block that a hopper can pull items through (I like farms to be as silent as possible). Problem is the Sniffer is not digging for seeds or pods. Did something change when 1.20 went live?
I had to punt, and with Plan B. Modified the interior of a barn next to my horse stables to be able to accommodate a couple roaming Sniffers. Added two Allay for collection duty, and built a silent hopper clock underground for the note block. The interior is about 15x20, and doesn't seem to hinder seed/pod production.
Out of curiosity, why go the minecart route and not just use mud blocks and hoppers? Is it because this is the cheaper way of doing it?
ОтветитьI just started looking for sniffer eggs and lucky me I got it just by the 2nd ruin I checked ㅋㅋㅋ
ОтветитьDo we know if the sniffers need sky access to find seeds? I have mine underground and they are simply NOT finding seeds at all. Blocks are moss which is supposed to work. Sniffers have been adults for hours.
ОтветитьThis was so informative. Thank you!
ОтветитьCan we put the sniffer farm in “old chunks” or do they need to places in “new chunks”
ОтветитьIdk if that was a feature for a while or not at all, but i thought sniffers could dig seeds from a certain block just once, meaning you had to move the sniffer.
ОтветитьThe problem with this build is that if you don't put the sniffer egg up on a block higher to hatch it on a moss block, it will spawn under the ground! thats what mine did!
ОтветитьDespite the tag this does not currently work with moss. The second I changed my sniffer farm from moss to dirt all of my sniffers dug.
Ответить😂 i got 2 from my first ruin
ОтветитьI’ve followed this design and have a 10x10 area of moss and 2 sniffers caged in, but the sniffers have not even dug up anything once after over an hour of sitting there afking watching them. Any ideas? On bedrock if it makes a difference
Ответитьsniff sniff
ОтветитьDid my first ocean ruin today and found 2 eggs and 4 sherds as well as the coast armor trim in a shipwreck nearby! All within 5 minutes row of my new 1.20 world base 😁. I built this exact farm through guesswork and you just validated that so thanks. Don't talk to me about netherite upgrades though... 4 bastions so far and nothing.
Ответитьon bedrock i got 4 eggs in 1 ruin it was easy
ОтветитьBarring farm expansion, what would be the optimal Sniffer population for your 10 x 10 area?
ОтветитьI got 2 sniffers in 40 minutes! I also got a silence trim then the next ancient city had the ward from!!! Super crazy!
ОтветитьBro its been like 3 hours and my two sniffers haven't even attempted to dig anything up. Idk whats goin on
ОтветитьThe 1.20 isn’t even released and this guy already made a farm on it
ОтветитьOne of your videos. Finally appeared on my Google feed
Ответитьi found 4 sniffer eggs in only 2 ruins
ОтветитьOnce the update releases I'm hoping to build a pasture with Allays picking the items for me, a free roam sniffer pasture, with a nursery hut in the side to hatch my snifflets. It might not be the fastest thing in the world but I like it when my farms are visual and add fun dynamics to my world.
ОтветитьCure for the memory ( shifting floor )
Ответитьyes
ОтветитьI hope the add more plants that they didn't show and I wish the plants did something special
ОтветитьAfter seeing what happens under a block they are sniffing into, it miggt be fun to put some sniffers above a dirt ceiling of a liveable cave or mineshaft. It would look unstable with the dirt particles falling down. You might lose the seeds, but it'd be a neat effect.
Ответить"sniff sniff"
Ответить"Its me! (dies) wassles"
Ответитьwattles getting into that Guide mindset, with this lifesaving tutorial. So helpful, dude. I was hoping someone would figure the sniffer mechanics out on a deeper level, so we could have a sustainable farm, and I'm glad it was Minecraft's most handsomest.
ОтветитьOr you can just use Allays for collection yknow. Don't have to make that whole minecart system
ОтветитьPeople that play origin realms rn built this months ago XD
Ответитьwaiting for 1.20 update for ages 😂
