As someone who love both games i think overwatch need to improve. I think it drastiquellty need to have unique event mode something like that, new modes. One thing that bother me the store is so small and old skin never comeback if you miss a skin on a collab or before too bad is gone forever. Even marvel as a bigger store than overwatch. Sorry for that long text but i think overwatch need to improve on somes thing to stay relevant. Happy new year broyouwack

One thing that OW2 actually did that was positive that I have not heard many people mention in these recaps is the change making the heroes free to everyone immediately.

one thing ive noticed when it comes to gaming is that people will always come to hate the game they play a lot eventually. i think a big reason people really love marvel rivals is because its new and also bc marvel is also just a huge IP. i honestly don't really think you can compare the 2 games. what I mean by this is that I always hear people say "oh rivals did this when it took ow this long to do" I think people need to understand that overwatch released 8 years ago. the gaming industry was way different back then. i honestly believe that in 8 years time people will feel the same about rivals as they do overwatch. what I believe the big reason for this is that its hard to keep a game feeling "fresh" for so long. for example you could pull out overwatch in its most balanced version of the game and then never update it again, this wouldn't work as the playerbase would be bored after a while, but then you have the opposite problem you keep adding more and more stuff the game becomes a lot more overwhelming and the more you add the harder to balance. this is what causes resentment towards a game, if you play a game for so long consistently you'd most likely end up resenting it. while I do think there are some things overwatch could improve on like for me I really miss player boarders, it felt like something to grind for and it was fun working towards leveling up to get them instead of the new level system which you basically never see. and I think everyone can agree events don't feel like events anymore (although I did like what they did with the winter event this year where you played games to unlock 4 winter skins like they used to do with weekly challenges) I feel like a big reason events don't feel like events anymore is bc they don't do weekly holiday skin challenges, the holiday themed lootboxes(which for obvious reasons will never come back) and the fact that seasonal skins were locked until that event came, I always found my self excited for when a event came along and I could finally be able to buy that one event skin that I been waiting for.
