I have always loved Cyberpunk. Even when it first came out a buggy mess, I loved the game so much I played it fully through on a base Xbox One… I then got a Series X, played again when 1.5 came out and three times more since then, two being post Phantom Liberty. There is just something amazing about Night City and the people you meet in it that keeps me coming back.

Dear gamers, Cyberpunk is not Starfield and Starfield is not Cyberpunk. Maybe Starfield will be great as well after 3 years of playtesting by idiots like us. DO not forget Cyberpunk's launch and lies. Yea its better now but this shouldnt be a gaming standard. release now, fix later.

no hate towards you but the dialogue part was very personal? It doesn't seem like it's a problem with the game but a problem with you, you can't crucify the game in terms of dialogue just because your brain needs constant releases of dopamine.

I played cyberpunk twice in different languages, I'm Brazilian so I played it once dubbed in my language, and I'm very grateful to my fellow countrymen for remaking these cringe phrases into something really funny, It made me like the Portuguese dubbing more than the original, but when I get the new expansion I'm going to go back to English so I can enjoy Idris Elba's performance

now im actually playing cyberpunk open world because its dlc is out."

I loved talking to the characters in this game, not because of the characters themselves, but because nearly everything the characters tell you is worldbuilding cosplaying as a conversation.
No, I don't care about what I would do if I got out of that city, but the fact some characters feel the need to ask me that question says more about the city itself than the characters. That's the kind of stuff I adore ! Conversations in this game drip atmosphere at every turn, and since I'm a player that enjoys atmosphere more than gameplay a lot of the time, those dialogue sequences were close to being my favourite parts of the game.
I get to experience the city in gameplay, and then I reflect on it with the characters which gives me a new perspective once I go back in it again.

Cyberpunk, in its current state especially, has the potential to be talked about as one of the best games ever made. From presentation and world building, to its combat mechanics and storytelling. It had a rough launch, even if I could still see the potential then, but it has really become one of the best representations of the Cyberpunk genre.

I find it really strange this review focuses so negativley on the "people pontificating about their place in this world" aspect cos that's basically the whole point behind cyberpunk fiction...

Ghost in the shell, Akira, Bladerunner, and pretty much every other cyberpunk story has moments where characters struggle with their existence and rage against the machine.

For me the game runs really smooth with frame Generation on. However for some reason it makes my menus and map screens lag really bad. I have not figured out why. I have tried so many different combinations of settings and frame gen is the one that seems to cause this to happen. I ended up just having to turn it off. Most people seem to think this has something to do with amd cpus which i do have. So far no fix

... your perspective on Keanu is hilarious, seems like you've never watched any of his movies. Personally I think the only character he ever played 'with more passion' was in Constantine. The guy is loveable but gahdamn, he's practically a blank slate in everything. I'm really enjoying the game, probably because I quit playing the original after 15hrs and waited for the 'expected version'. Happy I did, the games amazing right now.

I had zero hype for this game when it came out I played it day one and didn’t put it down til I beat it I think it’s people like you that expect games to be something they aren’t I know it was some what glitchy but it was still playable and fun on PC

Actually, listening to your second/third Johnny Silverhand impression reminds me of how Clint Eastwood talked in his cowboy movies. Was Clint Eastwood awkward? Was Keanu channeling Clint? Maybe that makes it less weird?

For performance, its one of those few games that each time I get a chance after a mission to just stare at the city, especially at night or while raining, I am always like "damn, this game looks good". Its really the art style too that compliments it so well and it does go into this noir cyberpunk asthetic, very hard. I guess the ads are there just to show how deeply fucked the attention whoring of ads have become and that they will do so much to get your attention, in this case, even more than desired.

The update did nothing to fix the game, just put more half assed rpg shit in it. City is still dead, story still short and buggy and badly written (apart from Johnny). Faction don't exist, you just have one character (asshole) no choices really mean anything.

Cyberpunk proves that you can’t rush a game. They made lots of promises they shouldn’t have but they had a lot of pressure from everyone. Cyberpunk 2077 remains possibly the most immersive rpg ever created

again to be fair, the main reason why it was so buggy was due to the Q and A company they gave it to pretty much did a poor asf terrible job by giving it to their interns and taking the money and CP project red trusted their work/job lol.
