That was great information about that mixer....THANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьGreat basic tutorial. Very informative 👏
ОтветитьCan an electric guitar signal be good plugging into channel 8. Using a 1/4inch to 1/8inch cable, please?
ОтветитьCan you use it for Karaoke?
ОтветитьI love mine great for live entreatment sounds affects are the best
ОтветитьHello. The main meters lights doesn't work only the red light when in use. Any idea whats going on in the mixer. Thanks in advance..
ОтветитьIf we wanted to put a monitor down in front of us or in-ear monitors, is there only one output? What if I wanted to hear the keyboard and the vocals and someone else. Wanted to hear the guitar and the Bass.
ОтветитьIs it possible to set a microphone to reverb or echo and then have bass to distortion? That's a shame that you can't individualize the effects because you may want to do different effects with different instruments and different things
ОтветитьI hope you can help. Novice here. I recently purchased this Mackie Mixer. How can I contact you directly?
ОтветитьGreat review...very informative...
ОтветитьJust bought the 16 channel V3 it’s great I use it in a live band!
ОтветитьI’m looking to buy my first mixer, likely to be with some mackie thumps (new version). Is this a good alrounder for live, studio and home recording ?
Noticed there is only one mix out. How would I run this in stereo when doing my own gigs
If you buy this for live band use you better buy an eq, or else it will be feedback city. Especially on monitors.
Ответитьhie, does this mixer has the feedback stabilization that MACKIE ProFX8v2 has??
Ответитьgot one of these ordered! should be here in a couple days
Ответитьsi potrebbe avere questo video in lingua italiana? io posseggo questo mixer, grazie
ОтветитьThe price, please.
ОтветитьHow much is the best quality Mackie audio mixer in the Philippines?
ОтветитьSo just wondering if I need a D.I. Box when recording guitars, I noticed you said you can run them straight in…but I just wanted to be 100% sure.
ОтветитьAnyone having noise/hissing issues using the fx? Thanks
ОтветитьSo basically you cannot choose Effect 1 for Input 1 (lets say a guitar) and at the same time choose Effect 2 for Input 2? (lets say a mic with my voice), eright? So its 1 effect only for all inputs at once, right???
ОтветитьGreat video ❤
ОтветитьAny idea why I can't get instrument sound to play from channel 3 & 4? Thank You
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. Thanks. One question. How do I plug a vocal effect unit it in?
Pleeease help
Is this item still working well without any noisy issues anyone ????
ОтветитьWould love to see comparison Mackie/Yamaha mixers.
ОтветитьThanks for the video😊
ОтветитьOn my Mackie, only the left lights are lighting up and not the right on the main meters. Clearly hear sounds out of the headphones. Just not registering both left and right. Not sure how to rectify that but would gladly appreciate any response to correct this. Thank you in advance.
ОтветитьGreat video thank you 😎
ОтветитьI’ve asked on another video but saw this.
Thanks for the video. I’ve had the Pro FX12 for years and just got the Pro FX22v3. What I didn’t realize was that there’s no graphic equalizer sliders on the v3. I’m used to that on the old version and wondering if there’s no need or if I should tie in an equalizer. Old school here and like to really tune my live sound. Thanks!
Would like to see the new onyx 8
ОтветитьThank you for this video, very well explained. I have a question: Since there's one single output for live monitoring, is this a mono signal? does it mean I can only send monitoring to a single speaker? Thank you
ОтветитьGreat video and tutorial! A quick question on the Aux sends! Are they pre fade? I need to run backing track and click via two mono channels and once I've put the fader down on the click side ie 'so it doesn't play in the front of house'I need to hear both mono tracks in my ears using the Aux and not affecting the front sound? An answer on this will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Andy Frost
ОтветитьBit more affordable now the Onyx is here..
ОтветитьCan you use this with Studio One recording program?
ОтветитьYou have NO idea how helpful this was. To a newbie ... this was a master class. Thank you.
Ответитьhow do you use headset to listen to different inputs on mixer
ОтветитьHi! I'm a Twitch partner streamer and have been loving this mixer for live-streaming. I just upgraded from the ProFx10v3 to this one, the ProFx12v3. Only major issue I have that I can't seem to figure out - which btw was not an issue on the 10v3 - is how to get my desktop audio into my headphones without the rest of my audio suddenly sounding whack.
When I press the "to phones/control rm" button my desktop audio instantly comes in but it also affects all my other open audio channels, making them sound louder. I'm a violinist, so I run my violin with my DPA mic through channel 1, have some nice reverb (from the mixer) on it. As soon as I click that "to phones.." etc button, it adds raw dry audio to it - not on my live stream, but in my headphones and even the blend switch or anything else I tried can fix it. I'm trying to find a way to have my great violin audio but also get the desktop audio in my headphones.
Hopefully I explained it well enough:) Thanks for your time!
How can I hear the post fader mix on my headset? I can control sound levels with the faders, but can't hear this mix in y headphones. It all comes in PFL to headphones but outputs the right mix, I just can't hear it.
ОтветитьGreat walkthrough, EXCEPT for your definition of the SOLO function on each channel! Selecting "PFL Solo" on a channel allows you (i.e. the person running the mixer) to hear just that channel (or channels if you solo more than one) through the headphones and/or the control room outputs. It does NOT solo a channel in the MAIN output mix. It's primarily a tool for the sound engineer to listen to and adjust individual channels without having to turn everything else down. For example, if a band is playing and you want to adjust the EQ on the lead singer's mic, you can put on headphones, solo that channel, and then listen to them without the rest of the mix and make your adjustments without having to adjust the levels of any other channels. It's a very helpful tool, but definitely not used for muting all the other channels in the main output. I just wanted to clarify in case that was confusing for anyone. Thanks!
ОтветитьMy only complaint is That the last version, which I have, has 2 regular Jacks on channel 12. The new one only has one. Eighth inch stereo jack. I use a Bluetooth receiver with XLR Jacks. I am not feeding audio through an Eighth inch cable
ОтветитьGreat tutorial
ОтветитьExcellent explanations of each control & function and also great review!
Thank you!
I starting to think that I lost money buying a Mackie pro fx 12x3. After plugging in the guitar I cannot hear anything. I changed the cables and still silence. No movement in Main meters.
ОтветитьExcellent review! Great explanations!
I'm hoping you can answer a question - I'm wondering if this could be used to support "Hybrid Meetings" via Zoom or other Web conferencing solutions. I am hoping to:
1) take the XLR output from a Wireless Conferencing mic system and feed it thru the mixer to a Laptop connected to the Zoom meeting so remote participants can hear folks in the room, and
2) feed the audio coming from the remote participants on the Zoom meeting from the laptop over USB to this mixer and then out to a pair of powered speakers so that the room participants can hear the remote participants.
Can I do that with this mixer? Thanks for your response!
Question: Over to the right of the mixer and directly above the meter there's a white button that I noticed you had pushed on and the little red light above that button was lit up. What that for and what does it do?
ОтветитьVery helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьLooking at this one and the Allen & Heath ZEDi-10 10-channel mixer without the effects. For a first mixer, this Mackie seem a tad overwhelming. But this one has sliders for everything, the A&H only has one single slider for the output. So, this Mackie is way better equipped. Allen & Heath has a 4 x 4 USB interface, the sampling rate goes to 96 kHz. Mackie as a USB interface is a 2 x 4 grid, butit goes up to 192 kilos of sampling. Hard decision. Any input, suggestion here would be well received.
