I have done this as I have found items that have fallen off my eBay sight but are still in my inventory bin.

ОтветитьFor anyone interested in shipping to Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii I have never paid more in shipping costs than I do for my California shipments. I live in Ohio and all four cost around the same for me to ship. I only sell on eBay and I use either their shipping or Pirate Ship, depending on the item's weight and distance. Pirate Ship is a great place to estimate shipping as well to determine whether or not you want to add those areas to the rest of your US shipments.

ОтветитьI wish vendoo would automatically relist ebay listings before they renew. I have another software that would relist the items (kind of like posherva but another one) but then they are not connected to my vendoo anymore. So I just let it automatically renew or it is too confusing
ОтветитьI watch another sellers videos on You Tube. She also uses List Perfectly. She has been talking about a new feature that LP now offers...when your item sells on any of your platforms they will automatically mark "as sold" or remove it from the remaining platforms it is listed for you. (I am not sure of the exact process)

ОтветитьHi Becky! Watching the replay...About Ebay shipping - if you want to be "Top Rated" or "Top Rated Plus" You have to ship within 24 hours. I don't have a car, which means walking to the post office in freezing cold or in the rain, or after I've walked 6 miles at work all day. I really, really struggle with this. Those are the only lower scores I have.

ОтветитьI use to get hurt when something was returned. Now, I just accept it and not deal with negative emotions. However, I still struggle with NWOT sales. When the individual wears it just under 30 days before returning it. I then have to re-list it as pre-owned. Last week I sold a NWOT dress with embroidery flowers on it. It was beautiful. Buyer stated it was damaged with fraying flowers. I accept and paid for the return shipping. They haven't returned yet - just waiting to see if it legimate return or someone wanting to wear something free for 30 days. I did look at her feedback and I see 5 negative feedback. Most times when I feel they are not quality buyers I will automatically put them on the block list after I send the refund.

Ответитьyou are so right ! didnt accept returns & had people lie like dogs.had a woman make a huge hole in a beautiful blanket and had a girl rip embroidery out right in the middle of a such a nice dress that she most likely wore already and wanted her money back.the more money it costs the more chance of them returning

ОтветитьThe thing I don’t like about shipping is I wish I didn’t have to put an estimate guess on what shipping might be? I wish eBay would allow the item to sell 1st
Then after it sell at that point I get the item package up and because I have the customer information I can then get the correct shipping price
Vs now I listen to a item and I pre guess how much it will be for the service
This is the only thing I wish they would change big time !!!!

But this year I’m starting to change up and do clothes books magazine toys furniture dishes basicly everything I can get my hands on I will make sure I look for flaws
The only flaws I had in the past is the customer switch my brand new item for their used item and say that I sold them a used item and not a brand new one

Because I have a actual store front and move TCG and games
Well the same items be on my eBay as well
Boy this was hard I eventually change the way from store and eBay to just eBay only and store only
So before that change I would have both of the same item at both in store and eBay so once it sold on eBay sometimes I could not find the item at all and find out that it was sold at the store but the employee didn’t remove it from the eBay site end listing
Or I would sell at the store and to find out it was sold online
lol this was a big mess
So after that went on for a yr I changed the business into two businesses eBay items went into its own storage area and
Store items stay in store and never put online
Good point I been selling on eBay since 2009 I have a perfect 100% top rated seller status but the top rated is hard to hold it jumps off then jumps on lol but no matter what I never got a negative . But I had to do lots of crazy deals and lost money just to hold my 100%
Because what most people don’t know ea negative mark u get the fees goes up and that’s the killer their.
The only thing I don’t like is over sea shipping I lost over $4,000 in items because I can never win a case so I refuse to sell overseas.
My biggest mistake on eBay and this happened all the time because I have over 100k inventory and I can only list up to 200 items per week. The biggest mistake is listing the same item more then once because I lost track of what I listed from day to day
One time I almost got my 1st negative because I sold an item for $150.00 then I sold 3 more of the same item for $150
I was super excited about the sale but when got home from work I went to my office and storage to look for the items and realized that I only had 1 items and not 4 items boy what a upset on the money part and a bigger headache of getting on customer support to help me refund all the customers and prevent myself from getting a negative.
I have had this happen a few times
Now I have everything organized a little better but not prefect yet lol
So I watch eBay videos to get ideas and motivation to push myself for sales over 300k per year.
I don't accept returns unless I made a mistake. I'm not in the clothes rental business. Period. With returns and everything else, it's important that you do things right away, don't procrastinate.

Just one little correction. If an item is marked as delivered by the delivery service, the buyer cannot make a claim with eBay that the item was not received. This isn’t a risk to sellers as USPS, UPS and FedEx all have GPS delivery information. The responsibility to get the package is on the buyer once it’s marked delivered.
It is correct that buyers can and have destroyed merch to claim an INAD and force a return, so always best to accept returns.
OMG, I have the same problem with selling things that are already sold! Sometimes it's Ebay who relists the item I have ended, but sometimes, it's just me...🙂 My solution when something is damaged, is to message the buyer, explain the damage, SEND it anyway, and refund their purchase price.

ОтветитьI'm a 3 month noob and am soaking up as much of this content as possible. I've made two mistakes that cost me and they were both things that I don't know how i could have seen coming. Sometimes the only way to learn is by failure, not that you want to fail, but when it happens you just have to embrace the lesson. I made it almost three months and then had a couple returns in one day, which freaked me out, but got them handled. There is a lot more to doing this than most people imagine. Good info. Thanks!

I am going to date myself, but I was a ebay auction junkie when I collected vintage purses decades ago. I haven’t done that in forever and kinda forgot about ebay. After recently seeing a 60 Minutes episode on the stalking lawsuit, I was reminded that they do still thrive and was then horrified at their practices! Just wondering if you’ve seen it. Definitely recommend!
eBay vs Poshmark pricing: I assume buyers check other platforms for things they're interested in (I do!). Because of that, I price the same on eBay and Poshmark, because it can a) look sus b) cause someone to send an offer when they might buy outright and c) the ease of consistancy. BUT!! I have a 20% off everything in my store promotion running on eBay alllll the time. This effectively means the item costs 20% less for my eBay buyers without my having to look to buyers like I price differently for different platforms. Just an idea to consider!!
