Are Norwegian Free at Sea PERKS Worth it? Everything You Need to Know (new updates)

So if you want to do extra speciality dining meals instead of just the one. How much extra does that cost per person ??

They have cut so many things

I just looked at an NCL booking and the booking planner showed gratuity of $950. 2 adults and 2 kids. The chat person at least said they could adjust for kids, but then she said the daily drink package is normally $150 a day!!!!

We love the free at sea. We always cruise NCL.

I have an Alaskan cruise next October, onboard the NCL Bliss. My husband and I are a little confused about the drink package. We are staying in Haven suites and have the free at sea drink package. He likes beer I like sweet alcoholic drinks. Do we need to purchase the extra drink package for this?

I love the Free at Sea plus—it is a great value if you book excursions through the cruise line.

My last 2 cruises with NCL in 2023, Starbucks WAS included in the Free At Sea package .. Maybe at the time of this video it wasn't, but that has changed

My favorite specialty dining is LeBistro Cagneys, and I also like the Brazilian steakhouse moderno

We are first-time cruisers on NCL will be sailing in November and have purchased 3 specialty dinings. Do we have to pay for the meals (appetizers, entrees dessert, etc...) in addition to the tips? We just made reservations with Le Bistro and Cargne's and wonder how it works.

Norwegian is doing nickel and dime , be careful on getting FREE AT SEA, there is no FREE, deal. Their Wi-Fi sucks, just came back from Alaska on Bliss, do your math before doing it. IMO.

Free at Sea needs to be renamed because there is nothing 'free' about this paid for pricey upgrade. I don't think it's worth it unless you planning on drinking alcohol on your cruise.

NCL has become so consumer unfriendly, don't get suckered by the free at sea packages, they wouldn't even provide the birthday cake in our package

Brazilian steakhouse and Cagneys. We r going on a cruise through the Panama Canal and am looking forward to some other specialty dining. The Italian restaurant was not ver good. Would not recommend it. It was very bland.

Free at sea is how we became platinum in one year. We love Moderna Churiusco (sp?) And Cagneys. The cartons of Flow water are wonderful and special ph balance water.

Do you have to pay for drinks/soda if you’re in port? This probably is a stupid question!

My last cruise with NCL I was able to book speciality dining pre cruise

We're cruising on Pride of America this September. My question is about scheduling specialty dining. We had to call the NCL rep to try to set this up and was told only 20% of the time slots for each restaurant are available to book pre-cruise. The remaining 80% can be reserved after boarding. The problem is, the line at Guest Services can be quite long on the first day. Do balcony cabins have an interactive tv to book these or can we book them on the NCL app on the phone after we board?

I found on my last NCL cruise (Australia) that I was able to text other iPhone users without logging onto the wifi. So that was a nice way to stay in touch without eating up minutes.

We love “Free at Sea”. Also, our favorite specialty restaurant is Le Bistro French Restaurant. We went there for our anniversary dinner on a cruise to Bermuda a couple of weeks ago. The atmosphere was elegant, a seaside table, the service was excellent, and our four course meal was outstanding. Still the best pork chop I’ve ever had. We plan to go back to Le Bistro on our 10-day in Scandinavia/Northern Europe next June.

+10% on Spanish, Italy, and France changed to your account as you buy. Very bad

I wouldn't recommend the flight perk you don't find out your flight info until a few days before. Negligible savings in my opinion

I got back from an NCL cruise a couple weeks ago, on the Pearl to Bermuda from Boston. My first cruise was also to Bermuda the year before covid hit - that was Celebrity and I absolutely fell in love with cruising. I had a good time but Norwegian didn't compare favorably to Celebrity in so many ways that I won't get into now.. . they threw in Free at Sea which turned out to be a whole lot of nothing with the sole exception of the one night of specialty dining. My friend and I aren't big drinkers so they made money on us, but they were even chintzy with the soft drinks! I'd ask for a Coke and they'd pour one glass, not even giving me the rest of the can. Next time I'm going back to Celebrity or trying HAL.

We just did NCL Bliss to Alaska and i think the unli drink package was all worthit. We just payed the service charges of about $300+.

The six litres of water per person per day was a limited time benefit that was only available as part of Free at Sea for reservations made between September and December 2022.

There is NOTHING free at sea. Read the fine print. Most deceptive marketing scheme at sea!

My fav restaurant on board has been Moderno. The meats are good, but the charcuterie table was awesome.

Hello. Thank you so much for this video. I have a cruise on the 19th and have not been able to find a clear guide as to if my 2 children will be covered by the beverage package.

On HAL your drink package is closer to free.
They don't charge you $305 gratuities upfront for drinks, like NCL. It's only worth it, if you drink a lot. On HAL, you decide how much you want to tip,
as you buy your drinks.

Looking at a 10 day NCL Getaway out of New York but some of the Getaway reviews over the last 4 months have not been favourable. Do you have any recommendations?
