Can I beg you do to a video on how to fix the Red monitor pixel issue that plagues these within 5 minutes out of the box?

I recently spent a weekend shooting a music festival with the regular 6K all rigged up (top handle, rails, follow focus, 5" monitor, V-mount battery on the back) and it was AWFUL to shoot with. The Vmount on the back is nice to be able to push it back into your shoulder for stability (and of course addresses the poor battery life) but then it's harder to access the menus on the screen. It's so awkward, even just to carry around. My arms and shoulders were hating me at the end of each day. I own and normally shoot with an FS5 which, ergonomically speaking, is the cat's pyjamas. Why are they continuing to make such an awful form factor? Surely they've heard of all these complaints?

If you want on the go quality just get any 2022 flagship phone. Is it gonna be as good as a DSLR or Cinema cam. No. But they fit in your pocket and are pretty decent as long as you bring the right skillset

Weirdly, I actually found the pocket 6k pro to be quite a comfortable camera to hold…maybe it’s because I have larger hands. I just naturally rest my left hand directly beneath the center line of the camera and the lens, and support the camera and pull focus the same time.

On the form factor and difficulty to grab and hold it comfortably, ironically, the bump you sketched and the added volume it gives would have been the opportinity to actually put an IBIS in it.....(add it where it supposed to be around the sensor and move some other components into that new space). With IBIS, good autofocus, metal body, even at 1000$ more (and even without imporving the horrible battery life), this thing would be the last cine camera 99% of us would own.

Why are you using a cinema camera with no ibis hand held? Use a monopod or something. I love your videos, but I think you missed the mark here.

I think I watched this video when it first came out but after having shot with the 6K Pro now since it was first released I have to say the complaints in this video just don't make sense to me. The snout is where I rest my hand and every position you described as "comfortable" on other cameras looks extremely uncomfortable to me. Your solution of adding the bump out I tried to imagine and I'm pretty sure you couldn't even reach the lens with a bump out. I have pretty average sized hands and resting my hand under the snout with the other hand on a the large grip feeds fantastic, especially compared to smaller camera bodies like the typical hybrid cameras. Then the color temperature shift is a non-issue that is a one time fix that takes maybe a minute to do, and my Blackmagic battery (3500mah) I did a test with and got over an hour of battery life. The 3rd party 2200mah or 2600mah will definitely not last as long though so I'm assuming you were using one of those. I also rarely shoot with the screen above maybe 20%-40% brightness because it's SO bright and indoors I'll turn it even lower, which helps with battery life. The 5 inch (super bright) screen is fantastic for solo shooting. Most cameras you definitely need an external monitor just to make them even usable but this is already built in and tilt-able for high and low angle shooting. Honestly its ergonomics make it one of the most fun cameras to shoot with in my opinion.

Then just glue that bump in there to hold onto and you good! :D

Honestly, save yourself the $500+ extra dollars and get the normal BMPCC 6K. The only difference between it and the Pro is the ND filters. You can get cheaper ND filters for your lens for much cheaper than the extra cost.

Anyone know what table tripod that is that is on the 6k g2?

As an aspiring filmmaker, does the akward ergos of a Super 35 BMPCC still make sense when we have the FF Lumix S5ii for $2K? With functional AF, FF FOV and IBIS, the BMPCC line should be dead. What am I missing?

I want these so bad but sadly I run and gun and need ibis and AF. That said I may add it as a third camera for tripod stuff one day. Currently using a S5 and S52 combo with GoPro 11 for the ruogh stuff. I love Blackmagic and buy gear from them whenever I can justify it.

Man this camera doesn’t have disadvantages for 2500$. It’s cinema camera, so it counts to use with tripods, steadycams, rigs, extra batteries etc.

It just doesn't make sense to me for any supposed Pro Filmmaker to buy into a CINEMA CAMERA system and expect to use it out of box without augmenting with a rig/cage system. Why do we expect Blackmagic CC 6K Pro to be different? Why don't we hold ARRI ALEXA and RED to same standard? They are all targeted towards serious FILMMAKERS. If we can rig out a lesser cam like Sony Alpha S iii why not a high-end cam like BMCC? If not let such users grab some Canon/Sony/Nikon DSLRs and go point and shoot. 📸🎬

It's now a couple of years later, and it's still hard to beat. Any thoughts on how the Pyxis line? It seems like a love it or hate it situation. A box is great for people who always build a rig, but they left out a few things like HDMI, so people who use things like a Ninja V will need to get a new display or add an adapter to their rig.

If I could afford all those other cameras, I would also not use a 6k. But I cannot so I do. Easy choice. Necessity is the mother of creativity (invention).

Please is there a way to copy footages from Cfast cards through the camera USB c port or HDMI port ? Please I am urgently in need am looking for ways to copy the videos from my black magic camera which are saved on the Cfast Card in the camera to my computer since I don't own a Cfast card reader and the shops in my country don't sell it I urgently need help please 😢😢
