It was the details of his garage-scene dialog here, introducing Max to the supercharged V8 MFP Pursuit Special, that helped create the apparent invincibility of the car. Not to mention its legendary carry-over status in Mad Max 2 (a/k/a The Road Warrior).

I got a 1968 ford mustang gt in forza horizon. 1500hp and 1100 torque it would eat this car alive.

This car is probably my favorite in all of fiction. The roaring v8 beast, last of its kind, that helped Max get his revenge in abundance.

Fun fact: The plastic yellow bucket in engine compartment was put there to hide the electric motor used to drive the fake blower drive belt. The Weiand blower and scoop was real but never installed to work. The engine was just a standard V-8. Also the shift knob with the blower on/off switch was a movie prop. The shifter was from a big rig truck the red knob is a selector switch to go into higher gear numbers only used on big rig manual transmissions. Blowers cannot be turned on and off with a switch. But it looks cool!

I don't really like the first movie to be honest most of the characters leave too quick and you don't have time to get used to them and I never understood how we went from a depressed police officer to a post apocalyptic survivor. But we also wouldn't have all the other miracles if this one didn't exist I love all mad max films
