Even if you know the basics, make sure you stick around till the end of this video to see some sus chord flexibility! Also you'll see a freak video editing glitch that I'm leaviing in. I really don't want to re-render and re-upload this video as ugly as it is, It's just a huge pain to do that and means I wouldn't be able to repost this video till tomorrow, so enjoy the huge ugly error :)
ОтветитьAh
The impostor chords
Great video - please make one on diminished chords and any other great chords.
ОтветитьJust a comment for the algorythm, as I barely understand what you talking about, as I am beginning serious travel through music theory. This tutorial is great so as a beginner I will leave you few more views under ur movies :D Peace Everyone ❤
ОтветитьTremendous! Thank you... your instant fan! Thank you... as a 1-year guitar newbie, this is amazing.
ОтветитьHow on earth do you remember all this stuff? My brain is melting!
Loved your solo!
thank you!
ОтветитьYou make theory easier to understand, still quite complex but it's very helpful in making more sense out of it
ОтветитьAnybody else think this guy looks and sounds just like Michael Knowles from
Daily Wire? Or is it him?😂
Summer of 69 is a good example
ОтветитьSounding like Porcupine Tree Steve Wilson vibes😀
ОтветитьDo you have a lesson where you put together parallel modes, secondary dominants and sus chords into one collection of chords to draw from? Or would you not use secondary dominants if you're also using sus chords? I just think it would be interesting to see a progression that uses everything you've taught.
ОтветитьGreat teacher. Thanks!
ОтветитьWas really enjoying the video, and then I saw the random frog petting session during the jam... and now I'm REALLY enjoying this video.
ОтветитьWhen that song moved to Lydian I could imagine Satriani shredding it up. He loves Lydian.
ОтветитьPlay a song in the key of Tenacious D Major.
ОтветитьOh.. My... God 20 years I've been wanting to make this kind of sound but never knew how to
ОтветитьI've always found it funny that it is called a "sus" chord. We don't call them "dim" chords or "min" or "Maj" or "aug" chords. The name of the chord explains what it does. A suspended chord suspends (removes) the 3rd. Not to be petty but calling it a "sus" chord is just lazy and confusing. BTW, you really are the best guitar instructor on the internet. And that is saying a lot. I've learned a ton from you. I especially like the video on motifs.
Ответитьhey man i am addicted of your videoes
ОтветитьI love sus chords
The are beautiful, especially sus4
Always the best help! Thanks brother!
ОтветитьYou remind me of someone in Oklahoma City.
ОтветитьI play keyboard and for decades I’ve asked a guitar player while jamming what chord they were playing and they’d say “It’s a power chord.” They couldn’t tell me what that meant. It was just a few years ago that I found out a power chord is simply the 1st and the 5th without the third and without replacing the third with the second or fourth. Technically it’s an interval but it blew my mind that so many guitar players couldn’t just say suspend the third. 😃
ОтветитьThe rule that you explained where you can only create sus4 and sus2 chords with the 1,2,5, and 6 chords of a scale, does that only apply to a major scale, because I tried it out in a minor scale and it did not apply the same way?
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks!
ОтветитьEverlong by Foo Fighter
ОтветитьEvery time you hit that Asus2 at the beginning I'm in Diablo 2.
Ответитьgreat video man! well thought!
ОтветитьTenacious D is as boring as Pink Floyd and Tim Pool.
Ответитьamazıng vıdeo ihad so much fun watching it :}}}
ОтветитьThat Asus2 sending you straight to the Rogue Camp in diablo 2.
ОтветитьC sus2 and G sus4 are they the same chords??? Notes used are the same notes for both the chords..
Ответитьand just like that im a rock star🎉
Ответить😎 dude
ОтветитьWowww u r awesome dude
ОтветитьAmazing explanation of the theory behind my "filler notes". Thanks! ❤❤❤
ОтветитьIn the minor key... The slow must go on by queen springs to mind
ОтветитьGreat class! Subscribed.
ОтветитьI have really grow to love his videos. His delivery is quick and clean. Thanks much!!!!
ОтветитьCool thanks!
ОтветитьI love sus chords. I think they are my fave
ОтветитьHow can anyone ever retain any information if you don't ever take a beat or two to allow the listener to wrap their head around new information. Not everyone is jacked on Adderall.
ОтветитьBest explanation ever! Thank you 😊
ОтветитьDude you made me smile and jump up to show my wife when you said they sound "gospely and Churchy", because when I tell people Dimebag not only favored these "gospel" chords but wrote one of the greatest solos in all of rock history in Floods. That song was my intro to suspended chords and months and months (and months) of trying to teach myself something so complex where simply memorizing fret numbers blew up in my face. Back to square 1 it was lol
Ответитьif were not allowed to play notes that are not in key, then why can we play the a minor with a c?
ОтветитьThanks Jake your a Gem in the in the sonic universe shinning bright. Best regards. John.
