I'll take your treated room and the nw800 over the u87 and untreated
ОтветитьYou actually thought that piece of shit Neewer is decent? Check your ears man!
ОтветитьTake the Neewer apart and look at the cheaper capsule, it's like a small dynamic mic capsule, really cheap junk.
ОтветитьThere's no difference between the two!
Ответить87 is worth it I think
ОтветитьI think these mics are too far apart in the cost/value scale to be a fair comparison.
ОтветитьThe NW-800 sounds like shioooot in comparison man. Like a tin can. Not good. I have a lapel mic that doesn't sound that bad lol
Ответитьthat music promo was pretty good 🔥 might have to check that out lol
ОтветитьExcellent comparison. 3700 vs 20 bucks. No one cares about your gear. Only talent matters. NW 800 is god mic for beginners. Arche is here because of NW 800. So he loves this mic. Don't go mad for U87AI.
ОтветитьI get the apples to apples comparison, but it would be good to hear them both with preamps. My understanding is that the Neewer does much better with the phantom power. No way it will beat the Neumann, but it would have been fun.
ОтветитьThe 87 wins the other had a obvious midrange that slapped me
ОтветитьI prefer the sound of the nw. I know its crazy. Well I am old and hard of hearing. Thank you for the video Sir. Ps nice singing.
ОтветитьIts never what mic your using its what your playing it through.
ОтветитьNW 800 is king maker CM. All you tubers become rich after beginning with this mic. It is luck maker mic.
Ответить@archie Im baritone starting to récord myself. Shure sm58 costs 4x the neewer in Argentina. Would you recommend it to me?
Thanks for this review and your insights
Neuman is still 🔥🔥n outstanding while nw800 sounds nuzzly
ОтветитьA $300 cable ? Come on that is overkill. My Live Wire is everybit of good and is super clean and quiet and it was $30 for 5ft
ОтветитьI would still spend a little more on an AKG P120 or something. I think breaking the $50-100 range makes a huge enough difference that it's worth it.
ОтветитьNight and day difference
Ответитьdo you record in omni? Heard theres no proximity effect with this setting.
ОтветитьBrilliant content and tremendous insight!
I’ve owned crazy mics:
DPA mics for film and acoustic instruments
Sontronics Apollo and other ribbons
Blue Kiwi
Lewitt LCT 640
Shure KSM 44
Shure SM7B
ADK Tube 47, 67, and 251 clones
Apogee Digital Mics
AKG 214...
and even a Studio Projects C1.
My thoughts...the venerable U87 is great but it ONLY makes sense for serious artists, engineers, and voice actors.
Do Not Buy this mic if you are not a Pro/Serious vocalist or engineer...and don’t buy this mic if you don’t have everything else you need b/c it is a waste of resources and money, it will not make you sound like a great vocalist like Archie.
Make sure you have great converters and monitors b/c converters affect EVERYTHING...including how well your plugins work. I prefer Prism Sound and Apogee for beautiful resolution, separation and tightness in the stereo field and they have great preamps as well...they are expensive but you get way more for your money than you do with any one microphone.
This video was fire by the way 🔥🔥
The coloration of that neweer is ridiculous lol. U87 is mint on your voice
ОтветитьThank you bro..hey you kicked it hard man
ОтветитьHey Archie great video. Just became a sub. Obviously the U87 hands down has been a studio king standard for eons. Although, not for nothing, the Neewer NW-800 does not sound to bad. I will buy this mic just for the client that does not have a big budget to record. I can make up on sound with my processing skills. Great video again. 👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI know nothing about the recording arts that's why I'm here to learn. The U87 sounds so freaking good, but I surprised the NW-800 didn't sound as bad as I thought it would and for $25 bucks you can't beat that for beginners. With that said I wish I could own a U87 even if it's only to listen to my own voice. 🤣 Good video. Thanks. 👍🏾👍🏾
ОтветитьThe mix comparison is awesome! Thanks for doing that. The 87 is far superior. For the price, it had better be!
Ответитьthe u87 obviously wins in clarity and low end response. the neewer nw-800 definitely has its uses though if you're going for a specific sound or you dont mind messing around with eq/compression more.
ОтветитьU87 sounds much clearer, cleaner. Much better 😄
ОтветитьSinging With No Autotune Show Off 😂🔥
ОтветитьAlso I think the Newman is better. It has more bass.
ОтветитьI’m replaying this because of your voice, bro.
ОтветитьCrazy how cheap mics look expensive and expensive mics look cheap on the outside
ОтветитьHow do you feel about shure sm7b?
ОтветитьThe Neewer sounds like you are singing through a can.
ОтветитьNeewer gets on my damn nerves man
ОтветитьFunny thing is, I feel like I sound better outside the booth and I just can't seem to hear that same tone in the booth. Am I doing something wrong??
ОтветитьThe 87 wins!! And man.. You sound fantastic! Im blown away..
ОтветитьThe winner is the Neewer NW-800, but only in terms of price 😂🤣😂🤣
ОтветитьU87 rich 🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьExcellent demo. Great channel. I've subbed.
ОтветитьI’m about to purchase my equipment for my home studio ! Your channel has come right on time 🔥🔥
Ответитьit's kinda like comparing a Lambo to a Honda...
ОтветитьNeewer sounds good if you never heard the Nuemann...
ОтветитьI know you are professional and you might not deal with USB microphones but I am about to start making some videos and I am looking for something decent maybe under $100 but it has to be USB, the reason I am looking for USB is because it's my understand with other microphones I would have to purchase extra equipment in order for me to make them work as oppose to USB that I can just plug and go. Again, I am not a pro at this and I might be wrong. Can you please give me some advise? Thank you.
