Well all the european countroes that would like or doesnt mind being united should gove it q try and then see how it plays out, and if it goes very well then maybe all of european countries in eu will join aswell. Maybe even more european countries that arent in eu would join too.

I’m a Greek living in Los Angeles, California
The amount of people speaking only Spanish here is astounding.
If these people are able to exist, work, and live just fine along with the English speakers, why would language be a problem in the case of a unified EU?
There’s people from every member state in other member states already, what went wrong in terms of language?
Plus, no national identity is lost.
It will always be there for all of us.
We are just cooperating a lot more closely in order to be relevant next to superpowers like the US, China, and Russia
After living in the US for 7 years, I can say that this model absolutely works. Each state gets to make their own laws which is vital

The Flag represents Mary mother of Jesus
Blue is her color, and she’s often represented with 12 stars (for 12 apostles of Christ)

I have a great name suggesting "The United Folks of Europe", meaning, that it not only refers to the folks and cultures or actual existing states but of all folks, for ex. The sorbs living in Germany. I'm using here folks for its original meaning, referring to a group of people with the same culture, language and origin

How offensive showing a USofE map with Britain divided and a single Ireland. A United Ireland means 'Brits out of Ireland', which naturally leads to 'Irish out of Britain'... NO COMMON TRAVEL AREA!

In regards to flag and name, I think you are completely wrong. Fact that there's 12 stars and those stars do not represent individual countries is exactly why it works for all the member states. Just think about it. And same would apply in this case too.

And furthermore, people are already used to it and like it. It's nice recognizable and simple flag, as flag should be

Secondly the name, European Union again is good name. Name does not have to exactly describe what political system or whatnot is used, honestly just look at names of the countries.

And again, people are used to it and like it.

Other than that personally I'm in favor of "united states" of Europe. I think primary things to do would be united military, second official language for every state, which would almost surely be English. Then financial reforms so that every state would have similar financial system, while trade is free currently, financial system are as compatible as needed.
Finally, you would have to deal with some of more auhoritarian and corrupt countries. You would either have to leave them out, somehow get them to accept changes to weed out systemic issues or let them in some waiting list.

Why do you always call civil wars “internal conflicts”? It kind of demeans them to something smaller than the devastating conflicts that they are.

I think in time we will have something like a United Europe as one country. But that is just it, it needs time, there are many problems to be fixed and many suspects to be addressed while trying to achieve that.

I believe we have that time, and I believe it is important that we take that time. Nobody wants to have civil war, let alone a war kn general in Europe.

I think a federated Europe should be called the European Federation. It could colloquially called The Federation, which would be nice for European Star Trek fans.
I think the flag should be the same but with a laurel wreath round the stars, like in the United Nations and United Federation of Planets flags.

the united states of the mediterranean sea is more feasible. with differences each other however, but it remains more feasible.

FYI having a “United States” doesn’t necessarily mean the end of border controls. It is actually easier to travel between France and Germany than it is between California and Arizona. California has border stations where agricultural officers can stop you and question you about what food or produce you’re bringing in.

I don't think this would ever work out. It has the same problems that Yugoslavia and Austria-Hungary had: too ethnically and culturally diverse, and the wealth inequality from one region to another would be astronomical.

Without any disrespect for the Balkan Sates, I personally can’t imagine them as members of the potential «United States of Europe» or, more likely, «Federal States of Europe». The same applies to states like Romania, Bulgaria, the Baltic States and probably Finland, as some of them would cause civil wars (Balkan) and the others are former members of the Ussr (Baltics), and we have already seen what the consequences can be when the West ventures to Russia‘s border (ex. Ukraine-War). Therefore, I believe that the following countries would be the most likely members:

- Austria
- Belgium
- Cyprus
- Czechia
- Denmark
- France
- Germany
- Greece
- Ireland
- Italy
- Luxemburg
- Malta
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Poland
- Portugal
- Slovakia
- Spain

The EU has always moved in the direction of more integration. I don't see this changing in the near future. Especially when times are though, the EU tends to unite further. (I don't see brexit as a sign of the EU falling apart; they have always been a cool lover of the EU). The EU will continue to evolve without revolution as it has always done...

I think such union would make sense if internally borders were redrawn , like making catalonia , scotland or the basque (spanish basque + french basque as one state ) as seperate states in their own right instead of being seperate , maybe also redraw the balkans states to ease up the tension ( give serbia , albania , croatia and bosnia each borders in accordance to their ethnic groups ....... and educate them to stop petty fighgtings . Moldova can be reattached to the romanian state while transtria would be attached to ukraine instead , ukraine too can be redrawn where russian regions can join russia ( a democratic russia that is part of this p^resented union that is ) , russia itself can be carved up in accordance with the larger ethnic groups so the caucasus can become it's own state along with Korelia ( or maybe Korelmia can join finalnd ) , Russia would end at the Ural mountains and Siberia would be it's own state within the union , germany can be enlarged to include german minorities along the german borders and to include austria or southern germany can become their own states ( bavaria i think have independance aspiratioons) or again german lands can be devided between two moderat sized states Austria and Germany ( hopefully we won't be back to habsburg's Austria and hohenzolleran's Prussia though this :p ) maybe carve up belgium for good with wallonia as part of the State of France and Flanders as part of the State of the Netherlands and Brtussels being a city state and the capital of this Union .

Look at India ffs - it's supposedly a single country but it's states have more autonomy than the United "States" of America. I think India is like the perfect balance between unity and federalism. It just works so well. And if it works in a country, as broken as India, it would EASILY work on the European level... The only thing is Europeans really need to let go of their national identities Which I see as impossible. The people are just so stubborn about this they'd rather have a lower standard of living and bigger external threats.

I think that the model that would break Europe into states would probably be more effective than leaving countries intact, and not necessarily to break up nationalist movements (I don't think it would do that necessarily), I just think it would be more representative. Just like not all countries have the same interests, not all regions in a country have the same interests.

What about the question of language. You cannot have a federate state with so many languages. And English as the most commonly spoken and used language would have only a few native speakers in this federation. The United States of Europe are and always will be an utopia. Europeans can and should be close friends but not one family.

One supernational language (for instance English, because of being the world language and language of science and internationality) would be necessary! It could exist next to a local language or two (for instance a federal state Belgium could have three languages: English, French and Dutch - all taught in school and are equally used in the public — or Belgium could be divided into two federal states (regions): Wallonia (English+French) and Flandria (English+Dutch) — maybe one could try to devide big states into smaller ones - having only one language + English and having no more than 20 Mio. inhabitants)!
