I am about to do a 2006 Honda CRV. No play, but you can hear bearing noise. I learned a lot from your video! Cheers
ОтветитьExcellent editing and content. Straight to the point. I wish all "How To" videos were like this.
ОтветитьVery nicely done video with well-explained procedures. Thank you.
ОтветитьVery educational.
ОтветитьVery informative
ОтветитьEverything was great before and after the seals. You showed that have bearing/seal drivers as well as the rings for the bearing installation - why not combine the 2 and prevent seal distortion and or nicks from the hammer. Nice vid though
ОтветитьWhy not use some Greece to fit it on smoothly?

ОтветитьAwesome video. Very thorough and to the point. Others should take notes on how you stepped through the whole video and put confidence in others to follow your steps and attain success. A1 100% Absolutely well done through and through!
ОтветитьCan you tell what I did wrong after replacing my bearings? Did it five times and every time it just goes loose. When I do a rolling turn I hear a screeching noise on the brake rotor. Any idea what may be done wrong?
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks for taking the time to make it and then post 👍
ОтветитьIt was oook except seal installation 😢😮
Ответитьgood wheel bearing & hub replacement # 👍🇵🇰
ОтветитьDo you know if the 2018 honda accord have any additional sensor I need to removed in order to do the front bearings? Is there anywhere i can go to get instructions on how to do it myself?
ОтветитьWhen I first started mechanic years ago . I put bearing backwards and abs light came out😢😂
Ответить1999 Gs400
ОтветитьThat bearing was fine. Why the video?
Ответитьspacers add alot of extra load to the wheel bearing ,just like highly offset wheels that causes the bearing to wear much faster.. good work!
ОтветитьDude thankyou. My car never heard so many swear words before I seen this video LOL. Thankyou
Ответитьnice video but i prefer press with hydro vs this method quicker for me
ОтветитьThanks for the guidance. It's the first time I used that tool. It was so much easier than grinding things and pounding them out. I'll go clean out that grease right now before pressing it back together.😂 BTW mine is a 2006 Pontoac Vibe AWD.
Ответитьsend me update bro
Ответить@ 9 MINUTES he says "you can" what he means is you need to do this with a hand rachet or else youll be buying new nuts and bolts when you strip them
ОтветитьSo if you take out the two bolts of the suspension you mess up your alignment?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьYes you absolutely can lube bearings for pressing in. I can guarantee you that lubricants do not effect press fit tolerances. If you gall the bore you will effect the tolerances and cause issues of clearance. And lube your pressure screws, this keeps your tools in top condition
ОтветитьThis video is exactly why I would always use a sealed bearing instead. Way too complicated otherwise.
ОтветитьWill these sets work for 2010 audi q7 TDI? 😢
ОтветитьI have 2003 Forester with rear drum brakes.
I am uncertain if its cost effective to by the tools myself and do this or take it to a shop for the rear bearing.
Best DIY car repair video ever... thanks especially for not wasting 45 seconds showing us the removal or the wheels... lol
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I liked your idea about keeping the strut bolts intact so we don’t need an alignment. Just finished a 2012 CRV front bearing by removing the 3 bolts holding the ball joint and was able to pop the drive axle out. Thanks!
ОтветитьMy only question is what to do when the hub won’t come out even after using a ten pound. Slide hammer?
ОтветитьYou should use impact sockets for this job as there is tremendous pressure being exerted.
ОтветитьFocus.....
Spacers...love em! 🤢 not really
You are a professor, It is very rare to find a specialist on the net that explains these mechanical issues so well and with so much detail.

Not.Sure If I'm Buying $650 Hub Grabber
OR
These..
The Hub Grabber Is Way Big Dollar, But More Flexible To Do More In Future..
AND
The Money I Saved Buying A Used Benz, As A Mechanic More Than Pays Parts And Tooling.
Will everything you’re using work on a 2006 Nissan Sentra
ОтветитьMy 2006 Nissan sentra 1 8 L is making
a very loud humming noise when driving. It used to stop when I would turn to the right, but now it's all the time. Just would like your input on. What are all the parts that I need to replace this other than the hub and wheel bearing. Because that's all I ordered, unfortunately. I would like to know the grease you recommend as well?
Thanks. Your explanations are clear and direct without needless chatter. Everything you say that is not directly instructional either clarifies or cautions. Good job. My only future request is to eliminate the background music. Music, especially techno or insistent beat, distracts and irritates, rather than add. Just a thought. Otherwise perfect.
Ответитьwheel spacers are absolutely fine if you torque them properly.
ОтветитьGreat video man! Thank you
ОтветитьWorking on an 03 Mercury Mountaineer rear driver's side wheel bearing hub assembly. I spent a considerable amount of time yesterday trying to pull the bearing out with a slide hammer not knowing really what I'm doing. Then I seen a video using the press kit you linked. But I'm not clear why it says front wheel drive and not universal? Is there a difference? Thanks, Not a mechanic just a decent parts replacer!
ОтветитьIt’s easier to use ball joint tool?
ОтветитьCan I use this to replace my 2002 Toyota Tundra front wheel bearings?
ОтветитьThank you for this video I used it to learn how to use these tools and save me over 600 dollars on one job! The work was brutal but everything turned out so ty ty ty good sir!
ОтветитьThanks for great video I have 2004 MB ML350 rear wheel bearing to replace 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ответитьwatched and subscribed....thanks for such an awesome video
ОтветитьWill that work with a 2005 Ford Explorer I would like to know
