While your method is useful for certain types of noise, it seems more oriented for audios with a distinct vocal presence. I tried to use it to remove wind noise from a recording where I was riding a motorbike. The method didn't effectively eliminate the wind noise, especially when there was a noticeable motor sound that I want to keep while removing the wind noise. Perhaps the method is more aligned with vocal frequencies and struggles with diverse sounds like that of a motor.

Thank you for making this video!!!! I am making a video for a school play (CAN'T BE RE-SHOT!!) and there was air/street noise from a window that was behind camera A (lost audio from the stage mics and camera B didn't have audio recording) that I couldn't remove. The Vocal Track trick worked well! I had to play with the graph a bit, but once I had the settings dialed in, I pasted the clip attributes throughout the audio clips and presto! Clean audio! The kids (and I) will be SO happy! 😊 (I am using Davinci 18.1) Cheers!

I tried both Vocal Channel and Noise Reduction. Noise Reduction helped a little, but not much. Vocal Channel didn't help. I need a lot more help in trying to make the audio better, than what these did.

Thanks for this! About two month's worth of content we had some technical difficulties with our mic early on which seemed like we fixed but now that I am jumping into editing I am noticing a lot of wind noise that somehow we missed. This is very helpful!

Great vid, but my problem is different. But I will test this, so far it seems to help, high-pass to the max helped alot, sounds less like a jet, thunder. I will experiment more with the other settings. I forgot about the eq window thing. I will check it out, I've only used the eq from the side bar until now I think. I have Rycote laverlier mic covers on my Gopro Hero7 Black, it did not do so good, does not work for the application, furniture pads did better, only issue is they fall off eventually, so I lost several. I will try different mic covers, but I hope i find something proper or I will have to return to furniture pads. I have some, but they suck as furniture pads as they fall off. I mostly shoot pov mountain biking videos. So I need good audio, but I don't talk much. I had to tweak alot more than you did.

I tried all of this in every sort of way possible. Literally nothing happens, no changes nothing. I dont understand if i need to activate something or i missed something but literally nothing happens, doesnt matter how much i change the frequencies

Great tutorial. Question - have you tried using Davinci Fairlight audio effect "Noise Reduction" (and simply use the "Speech Mode" setting in that effect for picking up the human vocal from the background noise) instead of the "Vocal Channel" effect you used in the tutorial? I tried both and it seems to me that the Noise Reduction effect can remove more background noises than Vocal Channel. What's your experience? Thanks.
