Quick shoot out where we get to see Joe shine as the bodyguard for Leo, and for Joe to see another former soldier. When it all calms down, they get back in the car and Joe asks the signature line.

It really makes sense. Like someone said, the character model's name was Joe. He looks old sure, but thats because overweight, bad skin and old guy's clothes. They wouldnt make the character look at camera like that if it wasnt Joe. Same scars too.

I initially thought the ending of mafia 2 was idiotic when he’s revealed to be alive with no further explanation in Mafia 3. Now it makes sense if Leo just told Vito he was out of the picture so that they wouldn’t be together, because together they started a gang war and killed a boss. Joe probably thinks Vito is dead as well

A Years later, Vito was recieve a phone call from an unknown caller. Which they need to meet at a new boardeaux Park alone. Vito was really suspicious about the caller and he did not trust the caller he brought his armed men with him with some snipers at the roof top to meet a caller to a specific location. Vito told his men to keep distance from him and keep on eye on him and the caller get ready their guns if everything goes wrong. since the caller wants to meet him alone. At the Park, he saw a familiar looking man Smoking cigarette at the Bench and the Man say " Long time no see, Pal " Vito recognize his voice and Said " Joe? Is that you?! " Vito said. " In the Flesh, pal " Joe said. " You're alive? How was that fucking possible?! " Vito said. " It's a Long story, Pal... " Then vito sit besides joe and Light his cigarette. Joe told everything what happen to him long time age. After they killed Falcone, Joe was separated from their cars and went to an abandoned house near graveyard they started beat and torture him in a week. After about a week Leo Galante shows up to Badly Beaten Joe. Leo give Joe a chance since he was bestfriend with Vito. If he will join his mob, cut ties with vito or Die. Since Joe has no choice but to join Leo's mob. Leo orders joe and his men to Fake Joe's death and make a fake evidence of his death so that Vito will stop finding him. Now Joe told everything to Vito since Leo Galante died in his sleep few days ago. Now free from Leo's grasp Joe get up from the bench and vito did the same, Joe and Vito hug each other with Tears with a warm welcoming reunion. Vito invites Joe to to have a drink one of his Bar to Celebrate their Reunion

You can feel that mafia gangster atmosphere when Galante steps out the car

The Mafia 2 ending was too sad to be left up to the player's speculation on Joe's whereabouts

Not sure it's very realistic that a very old man by the end of Mafia 2 would still be up and running over 15 years later.

Even tho he's still alive but imagine if the game made the choice where we can go fight joe which is the alternate ending even that soundtrack in mafia 2 is still here

does vito know leo is alive i dont know but if he did know he would go on a killing spre and try to find him and get revenge all though joe is alive and he tries to stop vito but he ends up killing himself saying that his life was a lie

Tbh Leo galante didn't betray vito. He just saved both vito and joe. But vito didn't know joe was alive. He did it to seperate them. If not they can provoke the whole mafia world into a fking war zone. Just like they did with chinese, falcon and Vinci. By seperating them leo saved his organization and the whole mafia world. If joe and vito were together, they would destoy all other families and establish their own organization
