I really enjoyed the video, wish it had showed more of the trail and riding.
Basically all you did show was interviewing people.
If you want people to join and participate you need to show more of the trail. JMHO
mid atlantic is beatiful did the C & O canal and the Allegheny trail on bicycle was really fun.
ОтветитьSee you out there this fall!
ОтветитьPSA DONT MAKE Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon or New Mexico your first off road trip do a state park or something first and get confidence They are not very easy not very hard ether but you definitely need to know what your doing and how to self recover
ОтветитьTerrific films! Makes me want to fly to US and spend a year on those amazing routes!
With all the experience you have now, do you agree that "less weight equals more trail"? Seeing your films gives me a sense that a smaller bike is better than those huge GSs for the BDR routes and trail routes in general.
Very nice, not very back country. Too much asphalt for my taste. 👍
ОтветитьI would ask where can I acquire these routes you guys take? I'm new to this. Lol pardon my ignorance.
ОтветитьBuying my first adventure bike in July. This channel has inspired me so much. I can't wait to do these adventures.
ОтветитьI'm buying a bike because of this video! Do more East Coast routes!
ОтветитьWhat year was this filmed?
ОтветитьWest Virginia here I come!
ОтветитьLooks very different on difficulty level than other videos. This looks like something I’d feel ok on a big adv bike.
ОтветитьOn the bucket list of future rides!
ОтветитьI live in the Midwest, southeast of Lake Michigan. Of the Honda dealers in my region not a single dealer in my area stocked a single 300, H or rally version! I am picking up my KTM 2023 390 adventure next week, they had three with no markup. I have ridden a Honda XR 650 L and earlier a Yamaha IT 465! I am older and feeble but looking forward to going anywhere, slowly and comfortably!
ОтветитьI am loving all these BDR routes… each has it’s own beauty and challenges. Always beautifully filmed and edited to really capture these routes so well, thank you for your hard work 👍
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful ride. I’m a northeast coaster. What tires does everyone run?
ОтветитьThat prayer was epic. We always say a quick one before we ride. Great ride, stay safe, and have a brappp!
ОтветитьI've ridden a few dozen miles of the MABDR on my Africa Twin and it was a blast. I can't wait to do the full route. It's gorgeous country.
ОтветитьThe opening “prayer” scene was sophomoric and offensive. Don’t mock what is serious to many people. It was shameful.
ОтветитьDingmans ferry PA has a privately owned toll bridge over the Delaware river to NJ.
ОтветитьI just found out the MA BDR was a thing a few weeks ago. Rode the TAT last year and knew that BDR's were all over the West (ran into more BDR riders than TAT riders in SD, WY and ID) but was only aware of the NE BDR out our way (planning to ride it this year). Was very cool to find out the Northern End of the MA BDR is nearly in my backyard (I work 10 minutes away, live a bit further than that). I've already been on a lot of the route in Northern PA but would have a lot of new roads as it goes farther south.
ОтветитьWhere can I get a map and gps download for this trip
ОтветитьAp-pa-LATCH-a please. :)
Ответитьthis is great that you guys are working on finding these routes on the east coast. We are familiar with many of the routes you took as we live WV. There are alot of great paved and dirt/gravel roads in the area. Excited to see more especially up north
ОтветитьMe and some my buddies plan on doing this in early August. Thanks for making this route possible.
ОтветитьGreat stuff guys loved the scenery.what a guy mr O'connor is I really enjoyed every time the camera was on him.The bit of civil war history is so interesting. A civil war is so sad its neighbour v neighbour.
ОтветитьCorrection on the Antietam battle comment. The battle took place on Sept. 17th 1962. In the one day battle (not two) the total number of deaths on both sides combined was 3,675 killed. The total numbered of wounded on both sides combined was 17,301wounded. As for the number of death and wounded in Vietnam. From November, 1st 1955 to April 6th 1975 there were 58,281 Killed and 303,644 wounded that required Hospital care and 150,341 the didn't require hospital care. So to say that more men were killed at Antietam than in Vietnam. Well. Sorry. That just isn't true. But, what is true. Up until the battle of Franklin Tennessee, Antietam was the Bloodies one day battle during the Civil War according to History books but Again. You won't read this in a History book so here is a FACT!! At Franklin (AKA) the Picketts charge of the West, on November 30th 1864 in only five hours of battle THAT'S RIGHT! Five hours of battle. There were 6,152 Confederates killed ( including six Generals) and 3,800 wounded. On the intrenched side hiding behind breastworks the Unions total was 189 killed and 1,033 wounded in five hours. That's why it isn't in the History books and all you hear about is Gettysburg and Antietam and not about Franklin Tennessee.
ОтветитьAhole, How dare you attack someone religious beliefs!
ОтветитьGreat content ... sure is a stunning part of the world, I think it's the part of the US I'd like to visit most 👌
Ответитьthis is so amazing! I live in nearby this is perfect!
ОтветитьHi, how could i join, what month is ideal like not hot not cold weather?
ОтветитьYou were misinformed about the last private toll bridge there's one in Newell WV about an hour south of me and 10 minutes from the Ohio state line. I used to travel it for work at a nearby powerplant and at that time you could by 10 tickets for I believe $5.00. I love what you guys said about being respectful of the locals, it truly goes a long ways toward building strong relationships and keeping these trails open. Anyone that finds the MABDR interesting should consider checking out the Hatfield/McCoy trail system in West Virginia as well.
ОтветитьThanks to the BDR Society for creating such a wonderful place to discover on motorbikes. Finally on the Eastern side!!!
ОтветитьI'd like to see a Gulf Coast BDR route connected to the MABDR in the east, and to an eventual Texas BDR in the west.
ОтветитьBest camp with a portable electric fence in bear country. Lightest is 2.4 lbs. Small kit for huge peace of mind

ОтветитьThe woman is on the BDR board but is riding a 20 year old bike, come on man! No camping, staying in 5 star hotels, this is bullshit!
ОтветитьThis is great.
But, there is far better adventure riding on the east coast farther south.
Go from Chattanooga east hrough the Smokey’s and through north ga,North Carolina to Virginia where this one started.
It’s far better than this. I promise
In the beginning, the lord created Dio. and the lord said "Dio shall suck for Seven years" and it did.
ОтветитьIs tent camping available at/near the section breaks?
ОтветитьLoved it!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this ride. I grew up in western Pa. But have been living in Utah for almost 30 years. I lived in Virginia and spent a lot of time in West Virginia before I moved west. The Appalachian and Shenendehowa mountains truely is some of the best riding in the country. After seeing this I really want to haul my GSA back east and spend a couple of weeks doing this route and seeing old friends that still live there!
ОтветитьThanks for a great video. I live not far from Section 2 and will be trying a couple of sections tomorrow. Also, I love all of Stirling's videos, and this is no exception.
ОтветитьThere used to be the cliché about BMW's and Aerostich jackets but now it must be about GSA's and Klim's.
Ответить好介紹
ОтветитьEven I get a little sad watching when they come to the end!
ОтветитьI love watching the BDR videos, can I do these trails in a Jeep? I’m kinda blind.
ОтветитьI live right outside of State College, Pennsylvania. This route goes through some of my favorite locations to ride, specifically Bald Eagle and Rothrock State Forest. What a wonderful place to ride and stretch the legs, especially after a nice rainfall. Tests your skills, too!
ОтветитьLooks boring as hell.
