It kinda works, but if you try to actually use the USB converter to log lots of data, it may cause Blue Screen of Death after some time. I always have BSOD after using PL2303 for more than a minute. So, better buy something with a Silabs chip, for example CP2102.

this solution is not stable... the unit doesn't work correctly, Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Windows 11, MSHV, Icom 7700, Dx4Win... does anybody agree?

Worked Sept 9th 2020!

I had the "PL2303HXA phased out since 2012. Please contact your supplier driver." message, I installed the driver provided in the link, on Device Manager right-clicked on the device, "Update driver", "Browse my computer", "Choose among a lists ..." and selected the oldest one. It worked perfectly.

Thank you so much! I have a very old Haicom GPS receiver and couldn't find any driver that would work. Your solution did and now the GPS data is ticking in! Can I host your file an solution as a mirror (backup)? I will of course give you all credit and link to your website.

Hello, I have a device and i have RS232 comunication port, i set up to comunication from my laptop to this device, i use PLL2303 module tu convert from USB to RS232, but in a mistake moment, i revers two comunication line, TX of device to TX of PL2303 module and RX of device to RX of PL2303 module (two power line still accurate position). This can distroy port of my device of PL2303?
