What Vehicle Do I Really Dislike? 2022 Chrysler Pacifica, Here's Why

I wanted a truck. When I took the ego out of equation, now I want a van!

If people realized how awesome minivans are, most people would have them. I have a Town & Country; it’s my third minivan. I put sheets of MDF, plywood, sheet rock, …slide them in the back and close all the doors.. Loader buckets, motorcycles, all kinds of sh*t.
I have an air mattress and camping gear and I can live in it. (Except for the fact that I have a German Shepherd and an American Akita that don’t get along). And I don’t care what anybody thinks. It rides nice, handles good and has plenty of power..
And it has the same footprint as a sedan.

Why does consumer reports have Chrysler Pacifica as worst vehicle? I had Dodge caravan for over 14 years longest I have ever owned a vehicle,still runs great just regular maintenance and over 200,000 and still runs fine but she is getting old need to look at a newer vehicle for travelling.

I'm a former car dealer. I've had several luxury and muscle cars. I never thought I'd love my new minivan!!! Mine is the same color too!!!

I have this identical van, we love it, its an unreal vehicle.

Only complaints are
-blueray plaer doesnt work most if the time and is super glitchy when it does
-had a couple weird suspension noises front and rear fixed by replacing bushings under warranty
-warped rotors after less than 40k (maybe I just brake way too hard)

For me it's a dream to own that car!

the US is too dumb to be into sport wagons so we're relegated to buy these.

I rented the fully loaded one and all I a say is IM SOLD on it! Yes, its a minivan (not really) its more like a better layer out sport level SUV :)

I nearly bought a Toyota Sienna until I was told I had to buy a subscription for the accessories, keyfob, and infotainment, so I was going to buy this instead, but they make you buy Uconnect, it should be ILLEGAL!!!

How reliable are they

I bought my first Chrysler minivan in 1987 when our third child was born. I’ve probably had 10 since then. I tried to give it up when my kids went to college but how would I move them? So I went back to buy another one. And the stow and go - nothing better. So now, I’m a grandmother with six grandkids and we just bought another mini van. It’s more practical than a pick up truck. When we moved- I got my whole dining room in - a double pedestal table, buffet and 8 chairs and boxes of china.

Always had a Chrysler car or van. The older ones worked. My 2002 is junkerama. Worst van I had. Japanese for me because US car companies don't understand how to make cars with quality like Japan. What do the American car manufacturers do besides collect big paychecks? Most US cars suck and its because of poor quality. Wouldn't touch a Pacifica with somebody else's hands. If you think you'll get a hundred thousand miles with it, it's doubtful.

Minivans are the best vehicles

My kids grew up with Chrysler Town and Country Mini-vans, and I own a 2022 Pacifica Pinnacle. The day my 21-year-old son graduated from California Lutheran with a degree in Criminal Justice and several job offers, he asked me if I would co-sign for a new 2023 Pacifica Limited. He got his Pacific Limited without my help and loves it, Although his friends seem to be a bit perplexed until they want to go surfing, then they understand the attraction.

What I find most ridiculous is that there is a “stigma” against the most versatile vehicles on the planet.

Dude, everything you said is exactly I was thinking. I am seriously thinking of switching from my aging full size bad ass Range Rover to a Pacifica. I could buy 3 for what the Rover cost me. And hockey season is coming so will be logging miles with kids and equipment. So it is glad that others see the value and utility also. Swallowing pride hopefully will taste good.

I have one. It's not as well equipped as that one, but we all manage, some how. I love it. I'm still learning what the buttons and things the screen controls do.

I am looking at a 2023 touring L S trim. same color same everything, should I buy it? out the door 39 and some change.

We just purchased a 2020 Pacifica Touring L with about 60K miles for under $25K. So far so good. The H and T was just to pricy. Plus the Stow and Go seating was VERY important for us.

There is no spare tire. Compressor with fix a flat. Didn’t work for me. Left us stranded in the middle of nowhere. No spare tire is idiocy.

Must get honda Odyssey Sport which is exactly same this sh but resale good and reliable

I found this video when I was researching the Pacifica. I actually just bought a Limited S Appearance with UConnect and with the Safety Sphere on Saturday. I love, love, love this mini van. I feel like a total dork saying that, but after car shopping for the past six months, I couldn’t find something that checked every box. My kids are older, so I almost could have bought anything. But car shopping since Covid is a nightmare. The dealerships have low inventory and are charging market adjustments up to 7k where I live on Hondas, Toyotas, and Kias. I found my Pacifica about 90 miles from where I live. They not only sold me the car 3k below MSRP, but they also delivered it to my house and gave me a great deal on my trade. It was the easiest car buying experience ever — no pressure and a great deal! I never thought I’d be so excited about a mini van, but it has every feature you could possibly want, it’s easy to drive and park, and it doesn’t need premium gas. I was driving a BMW that was a nuisance to maintain and didn’t have the versatility that this car has. Great video!

Just got rid of my 2021 Toyota Tacoma and bought a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica and we absolutely love it. However I was smart enough to get a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty whichever comes first because after all it's a Chrysler better known as Fiat.

Chrysler has great minivans. They are piratical as hell! You normally would think it’s for mom but there’s plenty of men who drive minivans. Chrysler needs to continue making them. I liked the dodge grand caravan but it’s gone I always thought the Chrysler town and country was for mom and the dodge grand caravan was for dad. They are amazing for travel.

I thought I was quite boring buying the same Pacifica again in 2022.. I just love these things. The practicality is unmatched.

I used to sell cars for Chrysler back when they were partnered with Mercedes and most couples would reveal that the husband always wanted to drive the minivan over whatever was supposed to be his daily driver. Some families would just get two vans because the Stow N Go made them a good replacement for their pickup truck.
