I realize this video is old, but you use the automation function of the Home app to change your lights at a specific time.
ОтветитьOK its more money.... HUE MOTION sensor splits the day in two,, 8am - 11pm DAY & 11pm - 8 am NIGHT
so at night you can have candle light dim & full light during the day
.
I use the BUTTON, LONG PRESS to turn all the lights off when i leave,, and SHORT PRESS to turn the hall light on when I return
Great video, nice calm voice and great image👍🏻
ОтветитьYou can use the siri shortcuts function within homekit. There you can fix the different actions at certain times
ОтветитьI very much enjoy the small form factor of the hue smart button. It's a shame it has trouble with other smart home hubs, but I'll manage. That they are magnetic makes it possible to stick them to any ferromagnetic surface.
A few use cases:
- a few lamps in the office, which I'd like to be able to switch on in an instant = hue smart buttons on the monitor speaker grill.
- a TV I'd like to switch off completely: Smart plug in the wall socket, which can be controlled by a smart button, stuck to the back of the TV.
If you are still interested in the advanced customization you wanted to do with the button presses, you might want to check out Home Assistant. It integrates very well with hue lights and the options it opens up for you are nothing short of spectacular. Cheers!
ОтветитьHi mate,
If you use the eve app you can add time based conditions that would allow you to accomplish what you to around the different times of day. It would take a couple of minutes of setting up but it would definitely be worth it and the automation would still be visible in the home app. Shane Whatley did a great video on this.
Cool, I didn't know this existed. I have one lamp in my studio that my boyfriend uses sometimes to sit under and read, and this would be great for him. That way he can just tap it on and off and not mess with my settings.
ОтветитьSo, this switch is not dimmable, right?
