Honestly I’ve been in all sides of this. I loved some mobile games as a kid, then played some like clash of clans and clash royale while I was in high school and such, then hated mobiles, then played shitty gacha games and put some money on them for a while, then I hated mobile games again, then I played some shitty mu style mobile idle games and whaled like I never did before just because feeling like the N1 player in the server is so fulfilling in a weird fucked up way. I’ve never felt that before but I was proud of that even tho I was putting like $50 usd daily on that shitty game to just keep being the number one player. Then once I had to pay the credit card I decided to uninstall and haven’t played a single mobile game since then.
It’s weird, it’s a weird world that even knowing their predatory tactics and artificial gameplay and shitty game profession that forces you to spend money, you still fall for it.
Also Gunz was AMAZING I played it every single day as a kid, and I agree it’s one of the hardest mechanical most skill intensive games out there. Something similar was S4 League. But my personal favorite was and always will be Rakion. The skill ceiling on that game was insane and I’ve never played a game that has a better combat system since then. It’a a shame they ruined it a long time ago.

There is also the segment on mobile of worthwhile games that are essentially relatively cheap ports of previously released games, if you thought you needed a switch to play Stardew Valley on the go might I suggest checking out the game on mobile stores
admittedly an example of a premium game (the horror!!) but even then it's sold at a lower price point compared to the more "established gaming platforms"

Reminds me of this one game called Queen of Blades.
I looked it up recently and I only found something similar called Queen's Blade, it could be the same thing. Anime girl with long brown hair, wearing red, big boobs, welding a sword or two.

I remembering first seeing the ad with my cousin around 2016, we saw the jiggle physics in the ad and found it hilarious. I downloaded it just to see what it was about and out of irony, forgot I had it cause I only played it for about 10 minutes, and my cousin made fun of me for still having it the next time he visited.

The only good strategy game for mobile is Age of History II, and that's almost entirely because the first game managed to get enough of a cult following for the dev to develop a 2nd and now 3rd game. And the game is still relatively obscure in comparison to all of the unimaginable shit that is mobile strategy games

You talk about an average person. I'm immune to this and I can make rational decisions when spending 'a lot' of money on mobile game. For one, game which you mentioned at the end would not work for me. All mobile gaming is just boring and bad. There are very few exceptions. For example, Clash Royale. I played quite a bit back then, but I quit due to inherent design issues. It was not P2W, but rather very shallow meta strategies. Losing a tower was very easy via rush decks as phones did not allowed you enough time to respond. Same with a castle. I installed Rumble which mainly solves a lot of those design issues. I enjoy that game a lot, because there is an actual gameplay in there. Watch the map, counter each mini, wait for perfect opportunity to drop a spell, prioritize which direction you want to spend your resources on, etc. Mobile gaming in general have no active actions which you have to take. It is so simplified that it simply fails to entertain me and is very boring. It is bane even of a lot of games on Switch.

Well you can still "try" to enjoy some of these predatory games if you want as long as you don't pay money for them. The moment you spend money on it you've already lost.
