The price of Rolex OP standard base watch went through the roof during peak if pandemic days. They were out if stock and expensive... Like anywhere from $10k to $20k expensive depending on the dial color. Absolutely ridiculous for a base Rolex. I don't understand how that price can be justified for the average Joe.

I bought the Tag GMT caliber 7 automatic for a grand ten years ago, (approx) brand new and it is still a favorite. Looking at it now next to my Air King which cost 7 times more (approx), and gets way less wrist time, I know which one is better value. I have been offered 1.5 up for the Tag so it is, unusually for the brand, not a bad investment either.

Your doubt´s about Tudor are just a consequence of the "boring vibe". I havent seen anything from Tudor where my lips even started to shape in an "O"form beginning to make the "oooooh" sound.
But as we know we know nothing, perhaps a really exiting Tudor watch exists without me knowing about it.

Cartier Santos Dumont one could share or be Unisex but quartz. Looks like a Cartier and looks closer to the first Dumont pilot watch than the Santos. Its cheaper too at about USD 4k. If only they have a mechanical but then maybe going up for a Santos mechanical could be a better value choice. Odd but Chopard pre-owned looks to have good value for a really premium brand and again something you can share with medium sizes.

Entry level automatic montblanc for approx. 1300 pounds is good value for money (especially considering the opposite side of their price range, which is many times higher than Tudor)

Id take a Hanhart over these any day. Iconic chronograph and a real mans tool watch.

But can you actually get an Aquanaut for 18k ,,, the VC is sweet in grey , but the white faced arabic two tone Tudor is a steal at that price.

You don't say whether the Cartier is quartz or winding. And please update the prices. A sequel would be where in the world / websites you could get these at a discount. Often you can save 20-30%.

Tudor = Literally everything BUT the 1926 is a Black Bay derivative. Tudor got rid of all their other series! That's one thing you can fault them for. Also, no titanium-case models.
