HP Elitebook X360 1030 G3 Review

I have bought this laptop near 3 years but resently its screen is crapping on screen. How can i solve this problem?

Hello, I use an Hp 840 G3,the motherboard got burnt and to replace it cost a lot, I’m thinking of getting a new one(affordable),would you recommended I get this 1030 G3 or you got a better recommendation?

Gosh this is a hard decision. I can't spend 1k on a laptop. Then again Lenovo lets me down repeatedly with their ideapad which is so bad at connecting to wifi and i can't even save any software on their SSD as it's 'invisible' and only for the OS. I use an elitebook for work (820 g3) and the matte screen is awful (i need glossy all the way) and the keys a little too raised compared to lenovo which has the best 'keyboard' i have ever used. very light. I'd rather die than buy another lenovo so this is hard.

Should I get the 13.3 inch of 14 inch version?

we use these laptops at my school and they always stop responding, especially when watching videos

For anyone from the future looking at this : HP uses a nonstandard 15V4.33A charging setup, so it wont work with any generic USB PD charger, or rather - it will, but won't charge at full speed.

After more than one year of using of this computer I can say it’s an overpriced piece of garbage. It’s painfully slow (i7 with 16 Gb ram and 512 Gb ssd) and just today one of the hinges started to be tilt so the screen popped out in one of the corners. It was on a table left alone when some strange noise “happened”. The thing was used gently, almost never as a tablet. This was my third Elitebook and the worst one. Besides the size and weight there is nothing positive about it.

Hey, I've got question. I cannot decide between buying the HP Elite-book x360 1030 G3 (700 nits FHD display) with an core i7 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD or the Surface Laptop (gen 1) with an i7 (+ Intel plus graphics 640) 16 GB RAM and 512 GB. They both go for 999 Euros. IO is not that important for me (i don't need USB C Thunderbolt) as I only use USB A of which both only have one. So that's a tie for me. And the 360º hinge is nice but i wouldn't use it at all as i don't use the pen. (I'm a student). Plus, I love the color burgundy and in general the surface laptop design (much more than the one on the hp). The surface Laptop has my favorite keyboard in any Laptop. I'd also like to play small games form time to time (e.g. Minecraft), but i think both are good enough when it comes to something like this, right?

Dell 7375 потом купил мой брат- он дешевле, но тяжелее, немного толще, побольше немного, нету магнитов которые держат экран в режиме планшета
Этот же- абсолютная безупречность - сочный яркий дисплей, оч крутое аудио (в наушниках особенно слышно), тонкий корпус, тонкие рамки, большой тачпад - за полгода ни единого нарекания - идеально отточеная бизнес модель, на которой можно и прожорливыми вещами позаниматься
Ведьмак 3 даже немного поиграть, на 20-25фпс
Если будет адское желание - можно купить видюху, и бокс для неп и подключить по thunderbolt 3 (по нему и зарядка)
Категорически рекомендую

I received this laptop for work. I had a choice of this laptop, a few Dell options, and a Macbook Pro. I chose this based on this review and spec. I had to write a review. This laptop is terrible. Performance is terrible, the fan won't stop running, the battery lasts only 4 hours. It locks up constantly. I want my Dell XPS 13 back. It was so much better.

The level of conciseness and detail in your videos are phenomenal. I also love you get right to the point. I do wish some of the terms were described a little more in Laypeople terms. Not a critique. Just an observation. Thanks for making the daunting process of navigating buying a new laptop in what seems like a sea of endless options more digestible and easier. New Subbie! 👍🏼

The power button is the worst I’ve seen, impossible to tell if it’s on plus no hdd indicator light anywhere, makes it difficult to tell if the machines on/off/starting etc, one USB A is annoying when forced to use a USB dongle. Great keyboard, not a fan of the screen when on battery, seems dim even when brightness on max and screen guard off. Built in speakers are excellent 👍

Only one full size-USB-port (Typ A) left, thats a fail HP. The two ports from the 1030 G2 is hardly enough and carry around another adaptor is no solution :/
And still only HDMI 1.4.
