Although these rents are more than double the amount I could afford, they seem relatively low in comparison to more central London areas, where a scruffy, cramped one-bedroom flat could set you back more than £2,000 per month. So is Canary Wharf a relatively cheap area of London to look for rental flats?

I honestly thought it would be more expensive that that for a 1 or 2 bedroom flat in central London. We're talking about one of the most expensive places in the world for accommodation. A distant friend of my mine pays £1600pm for an attic flat with a communal bathroom and that's two mile outside the spiders web of London.

What bills does the rent include, and r there any service costs? If not, I think the rent is reasonable considering the shared amenities, but got a feeling, somewhere along the line, a tenant will be stung for another £500 or so a month! Also, don't flat share with an alcoholic, else will really be expensive considering the wine vending machine!

Hello guys! Amazing video as always. You did a great job! But every time when I see the developers adds on this Build to rent or Private rented sector- it's look really ridiculous. So, we have a building with 200 units, that's mean 300 peoples at least and we have 1(one!) tennis table...So maybe ones a month I can get a tennis game. Those lounges always have a dining table...for 12 people, so ones a month I can have a dinner. There is a TV room when I can sit in the evening with all of my friends. Well, then I need to wait 199 days so the other apartments in the building can use it either. That is totally useless extras with purpose to sell or rent product...Anyway, I really enjoy your videos. Keep going! Greeting from Kingston upon Thames.

London rents are absolutely extortionate. Pricing out locals that grew up in these neighbourhoods to cater for the affluent and wealthy. London needs rent controls, and need to kick out these oligarchs who buy properties in Knightsbridge, Mayfair and Belgravia without even living there for 10 months of the year!.

I lived 7 years in Canary Wharf, I wouldn't live there even it's free, it's all grey, dull, the buildings cut the sky, it's so noisy with never ending building work. the only nice part is the riverside for jogging.

That is an eye watering monthly rent which I guessing is mainly down to location.... I personally wouldn't want to sit on balcony to look at the side of an office block for that price , but each to their own.

£3250.. In Manchester that’s 4x£300k house mortgage with change left over. In north east that’s 6/7x £100k houses mortgage.. dunno why people rent these dumb properties in london lol

Most of the apartments in the Doclands are owned by the Chinese.I was on a job a Chinese woman owned five on 1 floor she flew over just to see if her carpets had been fitted. And that’s why we and our children can’t afford a property brings a hole new meaning to the saying selling England by the pound Holsey67 🇬🇧

This would be really nice apparments for newly arrived asylum seekers that arrive at Dover. Maybe the letting agents could give a discount to the DWP if the DWP took a good number of apartments only a suggestion
