Seems very few 6 owners talk about the camera. My 5a had beautiful colors but im concerned the 6 may have more pixel resolution but also less natural colors and perhaps oversharpened as well.....hope I'm wrong...

I got one in the post yesterday. I was so excited after seeing so many positive reviews online recently... But... After spending a few hours with it, it's going straight back to Santa.
Reason: The white colour balance for the phone's display is just shockingly awful. It's a dirty, yellow/green hue, across all apps, media, and menus/OS. All of my recent photos of lovely brilliant winter scenes taken on my Huawei p30 lite, look gross on the Pixel 6. Yes, I've tried every possible combination of display and wallpaper settings, watched hours of videos for a fix - This off white issue was frequently mentioned on Reddit, across all 6's and 7's - So, unless the North Pole really is covered with yellow snow, I hope Santa's elves will honour their return policy.

I have the 6a, my first Pixel, which, apart from the price difference, I much prefer. The smaller Camera Bar, for a start.
When I set it up, I didn't realise that you're stuck with that pointless (I use Chrome anyway) Search Bar.
Luckily, I always install Nova Launcher and the settings (which don''t include the Search Bar) were copied over from my previous phone. No need to root the phone, not that I'd dare to anyway! 😉😉

What about the overheating issue?

IT'S A FAILING CELLPHONE THAT DOESN'T WORTH THE MONEY
After 2 calls, 2 hours of transfers, annoying waiting music, mischievous explanations, they finally confess that all Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro currently have a issues with finger print recognition and intermittent data roaming. Even running on Android 13
They tried to give me $130 dollars, or even replace it... with other same one.
I returned it to them. I'm back to my Pixel 2 for the moment.

Hope yall are doing well, I’m confused on which pixel to buy right now, Pixel 6 or Pixel 6a, I’m considering the Pixel 6a is because it was released this year July 2022 as compared to the Pixel 6 which was released last year October 2021, so to me the Tensor chip in the Pixel 6a will be more optimized as compared to the Pixel 6, and I know spec wise the Pixel 6 is much better as compared to the Pixel 6a
So can someone help me out please? On deciding which Pixel phone to buy?

Does Nova Launcher work well with this phone, did you try it before routing? It's all I have ever used on my phones, never using stock launchers. The gesture options are phenomenal! Great video, thanks!

Is it worth to buy Pixel 6 128gb with 24 month vodafone contract £26/month + £5 upfront (through mobiles co uk), with 65gb data+unlimited calls and sms. + you get asus chromebook c214 for free? That would be £629 through 24months, now I pay £10 for sim only anyways so its only £16 more.. the phone it self is £474 at the moment. I need someone advice :) Thank you

I agree regarding the screen, the screen is so dull. My digital watch is brighter. That's what happens when you put a budget screen in a mid range phone 🫤 before I bought the phone I misread the specs and thought it had an 800 nit screen standard max brightness, and not auto brightness 800 nits, when in fact it's below 500 nits . It's a cumbersome thing too, so uncomfortable to hold . I've had pixels from 1 onwards , I won't be buying another. I'll probably change over to the Apple ecosystem

I used launchers on all my previous android phones without having it to root.
There are tons of launcher on Google Play.

I really don't like Pixel 6. Front camera is awful as always, it still distorts the face. Normal camera has a lot of noise compared to other cameras, and it heats up A LOT and by using basic apps.
I don't know if I've been unlucky because it's just mine that it's like that but for me Pixel 6 is really overrated. And not to mention that you have a theme colour Palette with literally only 4 horrible colours... This is unreal, inconceivable. You can't even choose basics colours like white or black. And if you want more customisation you have to download an app and pay, and you have to do some bull***t with some root thing that if you're not a tech-geek it feels like trying to hack the FBI servers and I just want some damn colours Google.
Pixel 6 is an overrated disaster for me.

I hate it, i got google pixel 1 and i fell in love with it, so i thought google 6 pro omg it most be amazing , big mistake, i can honestly say is the worst phone i have ever had, so bad it made me love my old samsung phone ,so i said since i expend all this money in this trash I will use it to play music while i play, but no , this trash keeps stopping my music and it keeps tryint to snich , yes I HATE IT.

Not having a rear sensor is a deal breaker for me, I'm not getting the pixel 6. I change phone every year, so I had all types: front sensor, rear sensor, face recognition. Rear sensor is just the best as it can be done in a single motion while grabbing the phone.
The others are just gimmicks.

I don't know but why the Pixel 6 haptics are really bad for me. They make weird noise and are much weaker than Pixel 3 somehow.

The pixel 6 has got to be the worst cell phone I have ever owned. Nothing but stupid little issues like intermittent loss of cell phone signal and no it's not my carrier because my last phone had no problem. The fingerprint scanner sucks, The phone will just stop responding for no reason whatsoever, and for some stupid reason when I sometimes plug it into charge it, it says that it's adaptive charging and takes like 8 hours to charge. If I unplug it and plug it back in again it'll charge normally for absolutely no fucking reason.

I have a pixel6 and its fine but the alarm clock is driving me crazy. It always shows my scheduled alarm on the lock screen. but I hate my job and the last thing I want to be reminded of when I leave it is that I have to get up again at 5 in the morning. i don't want to manually turn on the alarm each day but it's the only way I found that gets rid of this? am I the crazy person? why doesn't anyone else hate this feature?

Im honestly on the edge in buying a xiaomi 12s ultra. But your review made me think and think of holding off for the pixel 7.

In my experience the 2nd generation is always a better experience. Hope that applies to the tensor 2

The begginings were hard but god damn, since a few update this phone is fucking A+

Im the only one that the pixel just randomly drops the screen refresh rate to 10hz and it lags , looks chopy af and has this 0.3 sec lag. that just made me crazy.

I will wait for the s23 or pixel 7 of they make a banger.
