The Phosphate makes a drastic difference... As a kid, there were still real Soda Fountains in our area... I would still have a tastebud celebration to find a real Cherry Phosphate.

Dr Peppers flavor reminds me of Penicillin I had to take as a young child in the 50s.
I disliked the flavor then, I dislike the flavor now. Uugh!

As you're saying some of your ingredients, I'm thinking that I can definitely taste some of those things in there especially cinnamon, nutmeg, raspberries and vanilla. maybe not exactly but the same vibe.

In England I drank Dr. Pepper when it first came here. To me, it tasted like old fashioned Cherryade. Loved it.
