You say you attached the USB-C hub with a foam clamp and a 1/4" screw — can you link to that? I tried using a different sort of clamp and it didn't fit well. Yours looks really good!
Ответитьi like this wooo
ОтветитьI neeeeed this hub… but no have mor this In site. Just 2 usb-c + 2 usb-a and not suport charge. 😢
ОтветитьNah I'll keep my $40k red dragon
ОтветитьHey, great rig.. can i ask if you have any trouble with the phone or Blackmagic App seeing the SSD Drive? I have a Samsung T7 1TB and i'll point the file save to the T7 in the Blackmagic App and if I lock the camera between takes and go back into the App more often than not the T7 has disappeared and even unplugging it and plugging back in can be hit and miss as to how long it takes to pop back up to use again.. I'm just wondering if it's a slightly dodgy drive.. I use a brand new short 40GBs lead so ruled that one out!
ОтветитьFor me, most important is: an external handle (wheel) to control the zoom! Is there something in the market?
ОтветитьDoes the rig stabilise as well?
ОтветитьHi Benett, What iPhone stand-up tripod would you recommend? TY
ОтветитьNice work. Quick question. Does the black magic app allow you to take photos or still or just video? I have the app and simply cannot find out if it takes stills. Thanks!
ОтветитьSorry if your putting all this stuff on a phone . Your better off using a proper full frame mirroless camera. As always a great video from you 😀
ОтветитьSAVE MONEY --> This magic arm from Smallrig is WAY cheaper, AND it comes with the clamp: "SMALLRIG Super Clamp Crab-Shaped & Magic Arm". And I also found that the "ULANZI ST-06" is way cheaper than the mount you mention here (of course it doesn't have the option to mount the Apple Watch, but I don't plan to either way).
ОтветитьI was impressed with the setup. It was something I had only thought about, but thank you for showing it to me and it was very helpful.
Ответитьexcellent video
ОтветитьLooks like a mini space station😁👍🏻great bit of kit though, im well out of touch with all these gadgets👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьI thought I knew everything but I learned a lot from this video! Love that HMI light and the way you set up the dji mic and the apple watch was brilliant...
ОтветитьThank you a lot for everything. How can I get Apple Logo on my iPhone Pro Max 14 at PRO RES 422 HQ? Rec.709, Rec.2020 - HDR and P3D65 only are shown in Blackmagic Cam app.
ОтветитьHello Benett, can you add headphones to your camera setup? That would be a great complete solution! Greetings from France
ОтветитьGreat Video, New to the 15 max pro, But wondering the cage is quite large as it is made for any cell. I would like a cage made just for the pro max, smaller as well to fit nicely
ОтветитьThis looks really cool. What about when filming vertical for reels?
ОтветитьOne question, what characteristic should the hard drive have to connect it to the iPhone so that the information remains there when recording and not on the cell phone?
ОтветитьI just built a version of this rig using a VANGREE USB C to USB C Hub-3 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Ports with 10Gbps, 4K@60Hz HDMI Multiport Adapter, 100W PD, 2 USB 3.0 & SD/TF Card Reader, USB-C Splitter. I use it with a Samsung SSD and a power brick and a Rode wireless system. This hub also has a HDMI out, so that I can connect to a monitor when I have a separate camera operator. When using this rig, you have to remember that this is a phone. That means you have to turn on airplane mode so that the phone won’t ring in the middle of a shot. Also, you have to turn off Standby or the phone turns into a clock when the power brick battery charges the phone. The rig is still lighter than my rigged out Sony FX3 and is much less expensive.
Ответитьits a pro camera not a cine cam just so you know it's good for social media but to make movies this is not the way to go just saying but respects I know you can record into a ssd to get the full potential but what I don't like is that it works with AI to make things look better so for a true cinema image get a real cinema camera but if you fit were he says its a cool setup
ОтветитьThis is such a fire rig!!!!! I appreciate you sharing it with us.
ОтветитьImpressive rig! Just ordered my 15ProMax and will see what I will adopt from your suggestions for my future projects! 🙏
ОтветитьKnowing my clients, it could work as a stationary camera but the movement may be to swift and "Phone Like" that most would just think its cute. With that being said this makes for a great action cam and or vlog camera. It is amazing but it will never replace my main camera A7 IV simply because iPhone can't do anamorphic at all.
ОтветитьAmazing video. Thank you. Fronm France. Happy Christmas
ОтветитьGood video. I have a iphone 15 pro max setup and found that the external SSD is extra weight that isnt needed if youre using the BM app. It stores the files internally through the app and you can just dump the files to your SSD when back at home. Less weight, less power usage.
Ответитьa bit ridiculous way to turn a portable mobile and lightweight tool into huge expensive and unusable )))
Ответитьthe link of anker powerbank it's the same of belkin multiport usb. Can you change it? 😊🙏🏻
Ответитьnyc song
ОтветитьGreat video! I love the way your rig came together. Thanks for going into so much detail. It’s super helpful. 😎🙏🏾
ОтветитьQuestion where did you get the Apple Watch mount
ОтветитьI don't want anyone
offend but after watching this video the hero of Tarantino’s film would say: sick.......))))
Thanks to this video I will finally be able to complete the professional video kit for my iPhone 15 ProMax.
Unfortunately the link to the Anker Power bank is incorrect.
All the best Benett
So cool and wonderful 😊
ОтветитьThank you that was excellent.❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. It's a great setup, but personally too large. I'm looking for a more minimalist solution for my iPhone 15 Pro and a LaCie SSD. I've also looked at the SmallRig 2791B (future-proof as well), but it's also 22cm wide. Do you have another small solution, perhaps?
ОтветитьHallo, wie kann man die iPhone-Kamera am iPad steuern? Ist das nur mit Filmik App möglich? Weil die Apple-Watch ist wirklich sehr klein! Danke dir!
ОтветитьHey Bennett great videos, I took your advice and downloaded the Blackmagic Camera App, but am I missing something as I can’t work out how to just take pictures and not video ?
Ответитьadda ring to the battery and let MagSafe power the iphone without using the cable.
Ответить👍🏼🩶💚🤍👌🏼
ОтветитьThat is pretty cool! Apple Watch doesn’t work with black magic camera app yet, so I would love to see an hdmi monitor instead of the light. The light is cool, but I’d rather it was independent of the camera. I have experimented with AirPlay and hdmi, and both work well.
Also, for the variable ND. I want to get a case that has the mount built in, I really hate the way the clips work/look. Was comparing some options that also allow an anamorphic lens.
It looks great. But, as you said, for all that, it’s better to use a proper camera. If you add up all gear, you’ll be able to buy a proper camera
ОтветитьIs there anyway to charge the Bluetooth shutter on the smallrig cage or does it have a replaceable battery?
ОтветитьWoah - that is one tricked out rig! I really like the idea of using the USB C hub. It’s amazing how versatile the iPhone has become. FWIW - I prefer a universal cage as shown here. The more form fitting camera specific “cages” are great, but they need to be replaced every time you upgrade your iPhone. Let’s hear it for MagSafe and futureproofing!
Ответить❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьIt looks bulkier than the Brando Li small rig you showcased in another video.
ОтветитьКеремет 👍🏻 тек алға ✊🏻
ОтветитьVery nice! I appreciate the information and love the set up.
ОтветитьLove from India ❤
