This is interesting and I learned a few things here. The problem that have is that I have 56.9Gb of music files on my windows laptop. I use iTunes. I have 3 smart playlists. However iTunes creates duplicate files in a folder called 'playlist' and a subfolder for each of the 3 playlists. So instead of the smart playlists being pointers to the actual mp3 files it actually copies the file. The result is that I have 1.2Gb of duplicate mp3s. Note that standard playlists do not create duplicates. I wonder if this is mess of my own making or did Apple iTunes just do it without my help.
ОтветитьNot all of the files are the same format. AAC vs MP3 and other
ОтветитьThis is also my number 1 hate of this software. even in the latest version of the app. Apple Music.???
ОтветитьHow are you selecting more than one file at a time? I can't get it to do even that. I have to click each one separately.
ОтветитьExplain; DON'T WHINE!!!! :/
ОтветитьA five minute bitch session? Really? Not helpful to anyone except yourself.
ОтветитьBecause apple is a shitshow
Ответитьgondon
ОтветитьI just watched an America complain fox x amount of minutes....Get over it or just throw your computer in the trash...!
ОтветитьGet to the point
ОтветитьThis is a moan about iTunes. In duplicates click Same Album and delete one by one. Or purchase Tunesweeper that will identify all duplicates if you so wish. Be careful though as it does sometimes find the same track on a compilation.
ОтветитьOnce you have deleted the identical track the remaining track does not play because the wrong track has been deleted behind the scene that's what has happened to me
Ответитьthank you for your great critique of Itunes duplicates - so frustrating and as you say? Why is this not fixed? mind blowing
Ответитьthis should be a 10 second video
Ответить**Once you have show duplicates, make sure Date Added is one of the top sorting fields, then sort by date added and remove all of the ones that were added most recently with the same date. Simple, easy, and pretty dummy proof.
ОтветитьHold down the OPTION key before you click on SHOW DUPLICATE ITEMS and it will change to SHOW EXACT DUPLICATE ITEMS. Apple has you covered on that.
ОтветитьIt's annoying yes but no file system is perfect. 🤓
ОтветитьWhat the hell did I just watch?
ОтветитьI HATE iTunes! It has destroyed my music listening experience. It's confusing and difficult to use for someone who wasn't born with a computer in their hands.
ОтветитьNo way, and how we remove the duplicates ??!!!
Ответитьbruh all you did whine. stfu. this isn't a tutorial. just a little bitch complaining
ОтветитьWell this doesn't help much because this is the exact time I've been having for the last 11000 hours of my life. There are 10 different orchestras who have the song Adagio. Listening to and following 50 other videos on how to delete duplicate items caused me to delete 9 DIFFERENT versions of Adagio by 9 different orchestras. Also why do they have all copies showing up on the screen? They should have two separate sections one that shows the one they/YOU decide to keep and the other side giving you the option of which one to delete. ITunes only have three functions that I use. 97% of the other options I don't use because I don't use the internet for anything relating to my music. Also the biggest problem is every time you go back to your music they all have exclamation points. I have how to relocate each one of my files more than 350,000 times. This is a program that must have been written by an 8 year old with the number one goal of getting as many people to commit suicide as possible.
ОтветитьAll you need to do is hit same album on the top of the list.
