I just got the Trx4m as my first RC car and installed the light kit before first use. Went outside in some tallish grass with some small branches at a tree line at dusk. Wow I am so glad I tried this one as my first. This thing is great without any upgrades. I did buy the low gear ratio mod and will install it after getting a good feel for how it is stock. Need to replace the wheels or add spacers as I have noticed (rarely) the issue others talk about with the tires rubbing a piece of the axel assembly which sometimes causes the tires to stop movement all together until you adjust, but it has happened so rarely to me that I don't mind and am actually looking forward to solving that issue with some minor modifications! I think I got the bug...

I like the idea of trail mode. This seems like a good RC car even for general use if you’re not into rock crawling. Cuz it’s all dirt and crappy roads where I live.

Cool looking mini crawlers

I hate how much the steering binds up, even after installed bearings. All of the shock oil leaked out of all 4 shocks in under a month. I'm done with Traxxas. Will stick with Axial and FMS.

Would you be able to mount a action cam on the top. Cool lil rig

Was wondering do you have a problem with losing the O Rings on the trx4 M in the drive shaft. They look good on mine. But I’ve been hearing they pop out. Thanks

Everyone reviewing these fail to mention the other side of the coin … the Traxxas accessories are priced HIGH! $70 for anodized links??? 🤦‍♂️. They should have kept the attractive pricing consistent through the accessories because the rig just feels like a gateway drug now. 😂 Pass.

Was just looking at the bigger bronco and wishing it wasn't so expensive. This looks like a good compromise

First time I saw this rig, I fell in LOVE with it. It has been WEEKS since my first glance and they are BACKORDERED at my local hobby shop. On the TRAXXAS company WEB SITE they said these trucks WERE AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE SHIPMENT ! WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT !! I buy primarily from my LOCAL hobby shop so I can support my LOCAL community. An not happy about how TRAXXAS is handling this. Guess I will have to look elsewhere for a 1/18 Crawler to add to my fleet !

While Axial has way more experience with 1/10 crawler rigs, Traxxas has DEFINITELY taken notes on smaller scales and seems to have blown away the SCX24 in terms of things like mods and performance. I will definitely be picking up a Defender!!
