Build Real Time Face Detection With JavaScript

A common issue many people are running into is a 404 error when loading the models folder. This is caused when you are not running your code inside a server that loads the models folder. For example just right clicking the file and opening in Chrome will not work. I use Live Server with VSCode to run the code and that works for me.

The problem with all of these scripts and libraries is they stop being updated and just plain ol stop working.

While using face-api.js in our react project, a lot of web pack warnings arise (actually src folder is not found inside node_modules/face-api.js). Can anyone find a fix for this?

I build it and it was working properly. But when I tried running it a few days later it stopped working. The camera would still open but it was detecting my expressions. What should I do?

Hello Thank you for this video. Very clear and concise. I tried implementing face recognition with webcam but it fails. I saved webcam images to node.js api file system and load them to the label images function but it fails to get any descriptor. However, if I use higher quality images from phone it reads the descriptor. Is there a way I can get it work with low quality images from web cam so that I can verify people on a site using their webcam image against already saved images in the system.
