Let me just indicate some fact that probably you are not aware of them ...

1) was for the black pepper and cinnamon that Portuguese try to find a way to India
2) Vasco da Gama was the oficial sailor but several years and sailors were needed to find all the way...
3) Portugal capture some locations, others was by deal and others by authorisation of the sultans who rule the land...
4) Portugal loses locations for the Dutch under the Iberian Union, under the king of Spain(60 years, started with Filipe II, and over with Filipe the IV) and that was 1 of the reasons of the end of it... the lack of support on Portugal locations of trade on Asia was a turning point also ...
5) England enter in India by a offer of Portugal to England because they “help” in the restoration of Independence...

I have been trying to find an intoduction to the British in India all night - I have watched US lectures and all sorts but this is exactly what what I wanted - an exciting - interesting - and brief overvue of how the British got to India - Trade - and then it seems Consolodation and most probably overstepping the boundaries - I am interested in finding out more about when things actually went wrong - as in the East India companies inevitable greed. ANyway thankyou subbed and look fwd to other videos !
