I did my last 7 years on Beto 1 from 1997 -2004..I went from medium custody to E wing to a program.i worked my way up made parole..I Ben off parole 14 years off parole 19 years. Beto 1 made me the man I am today..Mexican gangs keep beto locked down .I no alot people on beto till this day.time is how you make it

Very old unit i was there 6 years and the summer time is very hot inmate passing out dieing but when I was there I got to get some good out of this vocational class welding and signed up to a faith base class but it was hard because circumstances temptation so you have to survive thank God I made it home 2021 🙏😇

I worked at Beto for 3 1/2 years as a CO before promoting to the Michael Unit.
When I was there I worked T&U wings, G-4. Talk about punks, chumps and on the DL punks.
It was rock and roll Beto in the 80's and part of the 90's. Now it a party down, let's be friendly unit.
More contraband is brought in by staff than you think. If anyone's dies there now, it's due to heat as it was when I was there 2010-2014.

Need to learn how to pronounce the name of the town if you are going to report. Immediately threw me into thinking this guy is not creditable when he can't even pronounce the name of the town. During the construction a lot was had to be redone, example the locks were placed on the wrong side of the doors to the cells. Many people don't understand that prison is not a holiday resort, yet what can we expect in today's society.
