This is a serious comment/question, and in no way is it meant to be offensive, but from grade 9 to 11, I used to wrestle, and I loved it. I’m 54 now, so this is a long time ago, but I had to quit for the most horrific and embarrassing reason. I never hit puberty until I was 14, after that, even the slightest breeze would result in an instant erection. I’m sure you think where I’m going with this, wrong! I desperately wanted to keep wrestling because I loved it, taking both school and regional championships, and was supposed to participate in the nationals (Canada, I grew up and still live in Toronto). But the second I would put on my singlet, and start trying to bring my opponent down, it would always result in getting an erection…. I know it happens to every single wrestler at least a few times, but I was cursed with an insanely powerful libido, and the slightest touch…just rubbing up against my opponent, I had no control over it whatsoever. To top it all off, I’m a lot bigger below than most guys, so it was blatantly obvious, to the point where I would literally run away from the match from embarrassment. It made my life a living hell, because kids can be downright evil, and no matter where I went, everybody insisted on talking about my junk, even asking if they could see it, because they heard how big it was. Again, I’m not bragging or sexualizing this, I’m merely stating a fact, and I’m just wondering if I wasn’t the only one. Worse still, my coach turned out to be a perv, to me it was just my body doing things beyond my control, I WAS NOT aroused at all!, but he thought it was an open invitation to sexually assault me, which he did, many times. The man was 6 foot four and 280lbs of solid muscle, I was only 5 foot 10, and 140 pounds of very lean muscle, and I couldn’t fight back as hard as I tried. I won’t tell you what he did because it’s just too humiliating, but I did tell my parents. I was not the only one as it turned out, he had done this to several other team members. He pled guilty to sexually abusing 15 boys, all 11-15 years old, and was sentenced to life without parole, and is still in jail at this moment, but even after that traumatic event, I still had to deal with the problem I was having with an uncontrollable erection….. I tried thinking of the most unsexy thing I could like naked grandmothers, or even worse, naked parents having sex. I even tried using tape to keep things down, while wearing 2 singlets at the same time, but nothing worked. As any wrestler knows, you don’t wear anything under your singlet, so there was no way I could hide it. The only thing I could do was quit, because every single time I felt things stirring below, I had to leave the ring. Yes I am gay, but this has nothing to do with it, I knew I was gay when I was only five years old, but it did have a huge impact psychologically after being raped by my coach, and have everyone in the school think it was a big joke. I was in therapy for years, I thought I would never find anyone that would be willing to date me, much less marry me. I thought there was something seriously broken inside my head, because I could not control my own body, it was humiliating. It was so bad I quit all sports completely, because locker rooms were a goddamn nightmare, all the guys, taunting and teasing, every single one obsessed with the size of my penis. I don’t get it. They kept calling me “you dirty faggot”, despite the fact that I would get changed in the bathroom stall so they wouldn’t look at my genitals. They claimed to be heterosexual, yet were absolutely obsessed with staring at my crotch, trying to grab it, and make fun of it, just because I was a lot bigger than the rest of the guys. When you’re a teenager, life is hard enough, but throw that on top of it all, I became suicidal. I don’t know why people are so obsessed with penis size, trust me when I say, there is nothing good about having a big one, especially if you have a hair, trigger erection. In the end I had to switch high schools in a completely different district. Thank God there was no social media back then. I can’t imagine the torment some kids go through today due to social media and bullying. You know something? I wasn’t a wimpy kid, if anything, pardon the pun, I was extremely cocky, I didn’t take crap from anyone, and I could have dealt with the guys in the locker room, but after my coach assaulted me, I literally wanted to put a gun to my head, because I thought in my twisted teenage mind that it was somehow all my fault, and that I should be completely ashamed of myself. I wasn’t going to say a word to anyone because of the embarrassment, the psychological confusion, and torment, but my parents can read me like a book, and knew there was something seriously wrong. At first, I had wished to God I never told them, because it became a huge incident after the coach was fired, media hounding me constantly, not knowing that he was having affairs with not only his students, but other male staff members. And here is the kicker, he was married with five kids, all boys. The police psychologist interviewed all of his children, and every single one were molested by him. This guy was a monster, always using his physical size and demanding temperament, to put the fear of God in his victims. Having to go to court and testify, and re-live it over and over and over, which I had no other choice because the judge ordered it, was just too much for me to bear. I did attempt suicide five times by overdosing on pain meds, all five times, I somehow survived. In retrospect, I look back, I don’t feel shame anymore, just a lot of anger, RAGE, bitterness and resentment, because I did try to reach out to the other teachers, but they refused to believe me, and threatened to send me to the principals office and have me expelled, if I didn’t stay quiet about it. I will never understand why the teachers defended him. For most of my life, I thought all of this was the result of having a very large penis, seriously. I know it sounds absurd, but unfortunately, that’s exactly what I thought, I originally started wrestling, because my best friend asked me to join the team, I had no experience, but I fell in love with the sport. Again, it has nothing to do with my sexuality, because so many people sexualize this sport, but it has nothing to do with that, and everything to do with actual sportsmanship, camaraderie with my teammates, and the challenge of trying to better yourself with each tournament. I always wonder how far I could’ve gone if I didn’t have all these problems. My apologies if I’m all over the map, metaphorically that is, but it is so difficult to put into words, and when this video came up in my newsfeed, it just triggered all these memories all over again, but I always feel better sharing them for several reason. First, just to get it off my chest but secondly, most importantly, I pray to God that if any youth is going through what I went through, I can help them by telling them about my experiences. Even though I was strong, I was still just a kid, at that age, you think you know everything, until something like this happens, and your left bewildered, humiliated, terrified, ashamed, and filled with guilt that doesn’t belong to you. If anyone is reading this, and you are currently or have been sexually assaulted or molested by your coach, or another adult, IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT!!! The only thing you can do if you don’t want to tell your parents or your friends, call the police, try to write down and record as much evidence as you can remember, and don’t you dare hesitate for one second, because you deserve better, and the person doing it deserves to be in jail. Many times, and I am hesitant to say this, I thought about bringing a knife to school and stabbing that SOB. Every time he touched me inappropriately, thank God I didn’t. But when you’re a teenager you don’t know how to deal with it, that’s why you need to call the police, because what he did was dead wrong and illegal. Doesn’t matter the size of your genitalia, your sexual orientation, how tight your clothes are, there is no excuse for any adult doing that to you. Don’t make the same mistake I did and let it go on too long, because obviously it’s still affects my life almost 4 decades later. Please tell me I’m the only one, but if not, please, if you’re willing, share your story. It takes courage, but you feel better after. Thank you for letting me get it off my chest, all the best.

Maddox (it's McArthur) won the Georgia 6A 120 lb. state title in 2022, finishing 50-4 on the season---his 9TH GRADE SEASON!! He is a seriously skilled competitor. His opponent here, Ethan, is a tough competitor as well, winning 2/3rds of his matches in significant competitions. Ethan had Maddox in some trouble until Maddox reversed him.

Excellent leg riding. Excellent photography. Excellent wrestling strategy. Red (anklet, gray singlet) got all the takedowns, even though the last one was super difficult. He could have let the Green (blue singlet) get the takedown or just stall, and he would have won the match. The only coaching point which is very minor, Red could work a few moves to get some back points (Near Fall), such as a Power Half Nelson or a Crossface to a Leg Turk. This is very minor, Maddox is an exceptional leg rider and wrestler, just like Midwest Wrestle is and exceptional photographer.
