Moving to Palio Faliro next year 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьHi Sebastian -- great info on where to stay in Athens, It was very helpful. We will be there in mid-November and will be taking trips to Methina, Milos, Hydra, and Santorini any tips on where to stay near the port for easy access to the islands? The ferry schedule for November isn't out yet, so we don't have our plans locked in just yet. Thanks for any insight!
Ответить유익한 영상이네요 너무 잘봤어요!!
ОтветитьThank you for the wonderful and informative video! Wondering if the flooding in the city center and in the Piraeus port have subsided? Is it safe to visit now? Thank you!
ОтветитьI'm going to Athens next week with my brother. we booked at the pame wild hotel. cancellation impossible at this time. I'm getting more and more stressed.
ОтветитьWhat about Gazi?
ОтветитьGreat suggestions! I will listen to this a second time in preparation for my upcoming trip to Athens. Thank you!
ОтветитьLove your videos 😍
ОтветитьThank you so much for such great video. Planning a short trip to Athens and Santorini and your channel is a great resource. Greetings from Norway !
ОтветитьNo word about Pangrati or Gazi 🥲?
ОтветитьTugs will be useful for my trip
ОтветитьHello , is Pangrati a safe zone ?
ОтветитьIn 2018 we stayed at the King George hotel. It was well within walking distance to everyplace we wanted to visit. 🇺🇸🇬🇷🇺🇸🇬🇷🇺🇸🇬🇷
ОтветитьIn Syntagma is and the parliament it was in a photo
ОтветитьExcellent info
Ответитьwhich area of Wyndham Grand Athens?
ОтветитьDémocratie
ОтветитьIs Glyfada nice for beach vibes but still want to do a few days exploring Athens?
ОтветитьAs someone born and raised in Athens (and walk around the center countless times) i have to say that i couldn’t describe the city center better. It’s very nice that you spoke about both touristic stuff..and more local. Maybe i would add Exarcheia as a more urban style area, graffiti, anarchist vibe. (this is the place about riots you see on tv). Not the safest area, but not something to avoid..
ОтветитьI just booked an airbnb in a location I'm not quite sure if it falls within omonia. The closest location to it is Diamona Greece headquarters, Asklipiou. Could you please confirm for me what neighborhood that is and if its ok to stay. Or move? Thanks
ОтветитьI know the answear to this one, d o n t
ОтветитьThe most safest places in Athens is sepolia, Menidi Liosia and definitely Omonia
ОтветитьI love all Sebastian’s videos! Thank you very much!
ОтветитьThanks for your sharing its help me a lot to know about athen
ОтветитьVery unique and helpful content. Big thank you!
ОтветитьI spent two weeks in omonoia and it was brilliant, no problems.
ОтветитьThe Athens, metro is clean, safe and fast.
ОтветитьThe best places in Athens are away from the mainstream classic center
ОтветитьGood job..Petralona is also a nice traditional area with some cool bars and coffee shops..Aso, athens riviera is about the beach bars, not about the beaches per se!!
ОтветитьTough decision of where to stay! What would be your #1 pick?
ОтветитьThank’s your video is very important with all information we need.
ОтветитьAnother great video. I agree with you about the metro being safe, but be aware of pickpockets.
ОтветитьNice channel bro 🎉
ОтветитьHi Sebastian, I really enjoy watching all your videos. My daughter and I will be going to Athens and Santorini in August and I wanted to ask if you know anything about the Blend Hotel in Athens. Is the area where this hotel safe? This is our first time going to Greece. Thank you so much for all your videos, they are very helpful.
ОтветитьHow is the Atikki metro area? My understanding is that it is north of Omonoia but it does not count as that area. It's near the metro so going to the historical areas of Athens shouldn't be a problem. I'd like to stay in one of the areas mentioned in this video but we planned our trip spur of the moment so places to stay in this area are either all booked or very expensive.
ОтветитьThe twice that I've been in Athens, I stayed in Thissio. As you said, it was nice and quite and a short walk to wherever I wanted to go.
ОтветитьIn 1987 I saw Athens for the first time. I missed my plane from Heraklion to Amsterdam. Went to Athens, to have connecting flight next morning. The airport bus delivered me close to Omonia. I stumbled upon Hotel Omonia (now a Hondos Centre) and got a room. I paid 3000 Drachmes (now about 11 euros) and from my room I had a view on the Akropolis from a balcony of 130 by 80 cm. I went out for a few take away bears to drink them on the balcony. With three pints for 2 euros I enjoyed the view. Everywhere on the streets were pickpockets and whores. Never mind, in my room I was safe..... I thought. The walls had to be of cardboard, because next to my room I heard a couple having a lot of fun. Had to wait for their optimum moment and the toilet to flush two times. Next morning at 4 I took the bus to the airport for the 6 o'clock plane, that had come from Taipei and gotten a very smell bad throughout the night. Quite an adventure. Nowadays I wouldn't do this anymore, least of all because my friends in Gerakas will not ever alow me to take a hotel.
But I realy liked your video, and having a lot of experience in visiting Athens, I think I agree withe you to everything you said. Thanks.
Μένω στην Αθήνα δεν ξέρω γιατί βλέπω αυτό το βίντεο
Ответитьim not sayin that you should take it but taxi from airport is 40 euro @ day and 55 euro after 12 in the midnight till the morning and still is cheaper than ANY of the 9-10 countries i have visited.
ОтветитьΕυχαριστώ πολύ. C'etait tres bien.
ОтветитьBravo !
ОтветитьThank you. We are coming into Athens for one night prior to our Cruise which leaves from Piraeus Cruise Port. Where would you recommend we stay for that one night prior to our cruise?
ОтветитьJust don't come. No need for more tourists!
ОтветитьStay wherever you want ,but stay away from athens metro.
ОтветитьVery nice and insightful video, Sebastian! 🤘👍 I found a really good looking apartment supposingly in Kolonaki, on Panagiotou Anagnostopoulou 69 street, but seeing the location on the map (right across a little park/hill) I am having second thoughts. Would that be a good idea to book? Especially if returning in the evening? Thank you in advance and keep up the great work! 👏
ОтветитьYes, my wife and I stayed both at syntagma and omonia hotels. In Omonia the hotels themselves are ok, but uber is definitely your friend. Go by car to monastiraki, which is like a 5 minute ride, and then you are set and can continue on foot!
ОтветитьIn october I'm staying at the Boss Boutique hotel in Omonia forba couple of days. Can I expect some problems staying there? I only use it as a place to sleep, not to wander around this neighborhood. Only back and forth from metro station/hotel. For the most of the day me and my wife are at the center and Acropolis area or maybe a daytrip to Delphi.
ОтветитьI am staying at the Pinnacle, your thoughts??
ОтветитьTechnopolis/ Gazi falls outside of your map (a one street further west of Thesio) but has some of the the best nightlife and art events in Athens!
