Well, layered air defence is a must. It usually consists of of short range system, medium range system and long range system. Short range is mostly for helicopters and UAVs. Medium is for fighters and cruise missiles. Long (and high) is mostly for fighters, bombers and ballistic missiles. Examples might be Crotale NG, NASAMS II and David's Sling.

The Patriot system doesn't belong between these 4 systems. In all rankings it's somewhere 7th or 8th.

We can be biased over one or another, but the S400 system rules. It's the only system alongside S500 that is capable of intercepting hypersonic and ICBM missiles.

What a difference a year makes.

s400 has advantages, especially on missile engines but they are not as accurate as they would like to believe. the coverage of the s400 is wider and at the same time it takes 3 patriot systems to make one s400 system. (360 degrees). (I think) . iron dome is for nearby missiles and manages to be the least vulnerable system to attack by many missiles at the same time.

For me no hate I don't like Russia but for me i chose the s-400&500 because of long range capabilities

The only world-wide, effective air defense and missile defense system is Russian systems such as the S300-400-500-550 , Shell, Beech, Thor and others, the rest are all rubbish, the American Patriot has already clearly proved this in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Syria and so on

The S-95000 is the best in the universe in theory. Now seriously, the only proven system here is Iron Dome with over 90% success rate. Israel has three layers of air defense: Iron Dome - Short range, David Sling - Medium an long range and Arrow 3 - Long range.

The S400 can take down stealth aircraft... yeah their SU57, which is more steath-ish.
