I just had to stop at the beginning to comment lol....Amazon did not train us at all. We learned how to turn on our scanners then just got yelled at for doing something wrong. I wonder about now though cause I hear there is a hiring freeze for new workers....cause back when I worked there we were just numbers on a spreadsheet....we never bothered to meet coworkers cause odds were they'd be gone before you really got to know them. Then for me on my 6th month I was called to supervisors office and informed I was no longer needed, I was a seasonal worker. Got escorted from the building by security. They could have sent an email telling seasonals that their final day was coming up. But instead, they just pulled us at random times and fired us. Not even a thank you for your work, just dont talk to anyone, take your stuff, give me your badge, and get out.

I got my first vesing at Amazon ONLY after 2 years because they claimed they cannot give me a half of a stock after 1 year. Which was literally BS, since there was a stock split 3.4 months before that.

The era we are living through, which is some 4-5 decades and counting, is one in which large corporations and billionaires are able to do whatever they want and neither the Dems or Republican's are going to do anything about it. Neither party wants to be seen holding corporations or the billionaire class accountable for their actions as that would negatively impact their ability to attract money from the donor class. When Biden pushed to limit junk fees the Republican's moved to prevent the admin from doing that -- it should be obvious who the R's are working for. Sadly, the D's are only slightly less inclined to screw the middle and favor the wealthy.

I personally know two billionaires and worked directly under one of them. They are absolutely the most disgusting, displeasing, narcissistic human garbage I’ve ever had the displeasure to meet. They do not mind doing anything to get there way and will tear down anyone to get it. They use people and discard them like tissue and feel entitled to your life.

As an Amazon employee, who has now suffered TWO heart attacks on the clock, I can tell you that they do not care about you at all. They talk a good game, but they are NOT about safety. They don't know how to handle a dire situation. The way I see it, I got them by the balls and they know it. Or, how about an employee that committed suicide by jumping off a mezzanine, and only creating a barrier around the lifeless body so they could continue production. Yep. That happened. Amazon is evil.

Amazon fulfillment warehouses will be fully AI bot controlled by 2060. So be grateful you even ever worked there. AI work force is coming and it must be ready for change. Only human warehouse jobs will be by then are manager operators and tech engineers.

The warehouse workers and delivery drivers are not amazon employees thwy are contractors. They woek for a 3rd party company that employs them and they just work at amazon locations and their dekivery service. Thats how contracting works.

I worked at Amazon for 3 years before getting terminated. I got terminated for "time off task" because I was leaving like 2-3 minutes early for break because the warehouse is so big you spend most of your break walking to and from your destination. Keep in mind that I've been leaving 2-3 minutes early for break the entire 3 years I was there besides maybe the first few months after I started the job. Amazon at certain times during the year would really crack down on certain things or policies to make it easier to get fired. Everyone that worked there knew this, and they would set unrealistic work goals for employees knowing they couldn't make them. You had to have a 100% work rate everyday which just wasn't possible some days. Especially when there was no work at the moment, or the line shut down for a bit. You were still required to have the 100% rate. I was miserable my entire time there but I stayed because it paid my bills. I'm not surprised by this one bit. It's so easy to get fired working at Amazon. They literally hire people around the holidays just to fire them once it's over or they no longer need them. In fact I remember vividly during my orientation at Amazon where one of the managers said to us they want us to use Amazon as a stepping stone. They didn't expect us to stay for that long to begin with. My only regret is that I didn't use their tuition reimbursement program while I was there. Other than that I'm glad I got terminated because if I hadn't I'd probably still be working there, miserable.

Walmart has employees with 25 year name tags on their vests! It does not look good when nobody can find an Amazon employee that has not been working at Amazon for over 25 years. This will come back to bite them.

Amazon also fires you when you're productivity starts to slip essentially they are exploiting people at the highest efficiency it's like having your slaves but not having to feed or house them and then you discard them the second you see any drop in productivity to get a bunch of new slaves for free
