Follow up! tl;dr epic tele
I was at the guitar shop when they opened on Jan 2 morning, when I bought my Lake Placid Blue 60s Vintera Modified, and it is just spectacular; it’s pretty much my dream guitar.
I played both of the above models as well as a few others, including the Ultra (which was a stunning guitar to look at- wow), and the Vintera was my favorite by far. The satin neck is incredibly silky in the hand and the pau ferro fretboard is actually quite beautiful, with great responsive tactility.
The resonance of the string-through alder over brass barrels design is lowkey astonishing, quite similar to my hollowbody. For real. I absolutely love the tonal versatility, and find myself frequently using all six settings. It just sings through my AC15, too- made me put my Hot Rod Deluxe in mothballs.
I’m a convert from a career playing Gibson and Epiphone axes, and I don’t think I’m ever going back. Hell, it’s three in the morning here, and now I want to get her back out and play.
Played and absolutely loved a 60s Vintera tele tonight… it almost came home with me. I loved the leaner, satin neck and non-lacquered fretboard.
ОтветитьIf a man shows you his guitars and you don’t see a telecaster just calmly tell him we can’t be friends and walk away.
ОтветитьI love tele's more than anything and its personal preference but I can't bring myself to not have the ashtray on them. Don't know why.
ОтветитьI bought the red Vintera 50s in 2019 and it’s a gem. The Vintera 2 which is launched tomorrow as far as I know has rosewood and vintage tall frets instead of the vintage spaghetti frets.
ОтветитьThanks for playing clean throughout. Some of us tasty guitarists hate distortion!
ОтветитьI ended up getting the player plus. Hopefully not a mistake, seems pretty good.
ОтветитьI just can’t help but just really like the Players sound, it’s so hard for me to believe it sounds so good for a economical guitar. I got mine one sale and to me it sounds like a $2000 guitar, I could always modify it, but I just really don’t feel it’s necessary, I loved the sound right out of the box!
ОтветитьI played the Vintera in Lake Placid Blue today. The first time I ever gave a tele a chance. It was really fantastic! It could be my next guitar.
ОтветитьAny reasoning a 40th Anniversary squier tele got the snuff?
ОтветитьMesmerizing guitars right there ❤️🔥🎸🎶❤️🔥
Ответитьdo vintera 50s vs vintera 50s road worn have the same pickup and tone?
ОтветитьI bought the “Performer” with hum, and it feels better and sounds better than any of the others I picked up. The neck is thinner and so much more comfortable. I love it.
ОтветитьDefinitely American Pro 2 win, but twice price tag than Vintera.
ОтветитьThank you!! Man it's a tough pick between the Vintera and Pro II!
ОтветитьThe Player & the Vintera both sound great. The other one is just OK, a bit bland & "polite" for me.
YMMV.
I’m surprised no original series on here
ОтветитьHow can you coil tap single coil pickups?
ОтветитьI own an American Pro Tele (light ash body) and a JV modified 50s Tele. The JV wins, hands-down. Am selling the Pro.
Ответитьthe combination of the neck shape and tall frets of the pro 2 made it uncomfortable for my hands, going with the Player. I go by playability first, tone, then aesthetics
ОтветитьThanks for the breakdown. I wasn't aware of that specific vintera version
ОтветитьThe red telecaster looks fantastic and sounds lovely
ОтветитьIt has to have 3 saddles, 21 frets, deep U shaped neck, 7.25 radius, Kluson tuners, and spaghetti frets.
No tummy cuts or heel sculpting allowed! You know which one I like!
Try the American Ultra
ОтветитьThe Vintera most vintage sounding of the 3?
ОтветитьAmerican Pro II definitely. Good stuff! ✌️👌👏
ОтветитьPro is the best!
ОтветитьThe Vintera’s bridge pickup sounds nice and warm. This is an important quality that the best tele pickups have. I like a bright neck pickup and a warm bridge pickup.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. No Player Plus in your selection: probably for the same reason as for the Ultra ?
ОтветитьI love telecasters there amazing
ОтветитьI'm a Strat guy at heart, but there's something wonderful about the Tele's simplicity!
ОтветитьVinteras a win for me. Best sounding set of pickups too in my opinion.
