Netherlands Agriculture Technology - Cultivation Of Hyacinths In Greenhouse

people still buy flowers? i've had 3 florists close shop in my area. they used to have these hyacinths but nobody bought them because they were so expensive, so they started rotting and got thrown out. they maybe lasted 3 to 4 days. zero value. in this economy, how are these businesses surviving on a luxury that many stopped buying?
