In the Netherlands the Pixel gives a waaaay better deal with a contract than the Iphone. The difference is about 15 euros per month over 2 years (!) and the Pixel even comes with free Pixel buds pro. Nobrainer for an ex Nexus user

It keeps me wondering if on Pixel you may switch Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off in a quick menu unlike on an iPhone where I've got to go to settings, wait for them to load, get inside, switch off and close the menu. I've got a feeling that this may be possible to do in 1 click in the Pixel and I'd love that. I'm extremely tired by using iPhone and having to follow a ridiculously long path to do one of the simplest things. If also GPS would be switchable from a quick menu, I think I'd be navigating towards Android despite terrible experiences with every cheap Samsung that my employers have been giving me over the years. Oh, and perhaps I'd be able to unlock a phone without having to lift it off of a table/desk just by putting a finger on a screen. Lifesaver in Andriod devices... And my previous iPhones 6S... I really have no idea where Apple is going.

When comparing operating systems, iOS clearly surpasses Android. It's interesting to see people excuse Android's inferior user experience by praising its customizability. Frankly, Android falls short as a comprehensive OS. It's particularly irritating to have to rely on various third-party applications to enhance your experience, never really knowing if they might lead to harmful outcomes.

I did a smart, which was take my siblings old iphone coming from android to see if id like iphone 15, im not enjoying it so far, so pixel 8 is my highest contendor but i do not like the design and wish they would consider going back to the pixel 5 design. pixel 7 looks okay but I also want the support, will wait it out for 9 and see how that goes

They can say you’ll get 30 years of updates, the phone won’t last that long ether way. I like them both and the the pixel be 549 at the moment it’s hard to pass up unless I wait for the 8A 🤔

In the display category, pixel 8 loses imo - because of the 20:9 aspect ratio. If you like watching shows or yt on your phone like I do you will get huge black bars on either side of the video. The iphone has a more ergonomic 19.5:9 ratio

I was for long time team pixel but stuff that were coming back as problems didn't get any better with new models: no official shop in my country, problems with overheating, very bad signal strength - at one moment we had both with my husband pixel 6a and it failed as many times, last time we didn't have both signal in a supermarket!!! Also battery life...not the best. I switched to Samsung s23 ultra and first few months was great until they started to mess up all with updates that made camera and battery worse, also started to have WiFi connection problems so now I switched to iPhone 15 plus and we will see...so far so good (missing camera from pixel but only camera), bought it for 730€ thoe from outlet

As someone that’s been a pixel fan from the beginning and dropped iPhone as soon as the pixel came out, I switched to the iPhone 15 just because google showed nothing performance wise to make me interested in pixel 8 plus I don’t care about the AI features and it’s surprisingly been a pretty great experience. I’m mainly glad that my phone no longer gets hot just starting an app and my battery doesn’t go down super fast.

It’s come a long way since those iPhone 6 days. I think everyone should switch to the other side every few years just to see how things have evolved.
