Nah Star Wars is the most recognizable theme just by the first two notes
ОтветитьI had the pleasure of seeing him play live with the John Barry 7 twice in the sixties, great guitarist.
Ответитьas a guy who loves stratocaster seeing that final goodbye tap and silent handshake. it really does hurt
ОтветитьMan they got burnt when they resold it on
ОтветитьIt sold at auction for $25,000.
ОтветитьSacrilege to put a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge tho...
ОтветитьHe probably sold it only because, as Jethro Tull sang,..Too Old to Rock n Roll too young to....
Ответить"Best I can do is a vodka martini.... stirred"
ОтветитьBapak kepala botak
ОтветитьOm Botak si tawar ngga ngotak.!
Ответить“I take all the risk.” People give Rick a lot of flak for that phrase, but this guitar is a good example of why purchases can be so risky. He bought it for $55k and sold it at auction for $25k, a $30k loss.
ОтветитьRick lost his shirt on this deal. Per Wikipedia, the guitar sold at auction in 2014 for $25,000 (episode aired in 2013).
Ответитьit's plugged into the amp. he should have done his thing. of course he does not own the rights to any of the music. So could have just improvised.
ОтветитьThis is one of my favorite deals in the show. Vic Flick is such a class act, and so humble. The only thing that would have made this scene better is if they showed Vic playing the guitar a bit.
ОтветитьA classic video for sure ! ! ! !
ОтветитьVic Flick appeared on a 2013 episode of the History Channel show Pawn Stars titled "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service". Here he brought in his 1961 Fender Stratocaster guitar to shop owner Rick Harrison, who, after consulting Jesse Amoroso, settled on a price of $55,000 for the guitar. The guitar sold at auction in 2014 for $25,000. (Wikipedia)
ОтветитьHad honor of meeting him once , very kind and humble man who deserves alot of credit for the rock music we have n continue to listen to because in one way or another he influenced the musicians who make the music , true legend and music icon
ОтветитьThis is as good as it gets.
ОтветитьBest I can do is $2
ОтветитьCan not belive he called Vic Flick sort of a rockstar, not the same thing , but same ball park as calling Buddy Guy a well known studio guitarist
ОтветитьInstructive and amusing sequence. It's really amazing tho that neither Rick nor Jesse have noted the fact that this stratocaster was not 100% original : the bridge pickup has been replaced. And so knowing Rick it could have been a good opportunity for him to bring the price down a bit...
ОтветитьIts worth way more than 70k…. Why is he even selling it?
Ответитьand rick ended up losing money on this.
ОтветитьHe should’ve signed it and made more money
ОтветитьHow dare he low ball Vick.
ОтветитьThe guitar should have been a few hundred thousands
ОтветитьRick lost 30k on that deal lol!
ОтветитьI have the same feeling if I sold my xbox one s
ОтветитьToo many closeups ruined it. This is NOT a genuine 1961 Stratocaster. It is most likely a Custom Shop Relic'd reproduction, or just an outright fraudulent copy. If you look closely and know what to look for, there are certain small details that give it away.
ОтветитьSeems like the most genuine down to earth guy
Ответить55 grand ain't much for what this guitar has contributed to popular music. This guy is a legend. Rick should have paid the 70 Vick Flick was asking just out of respect.
Ответитьhe probably bought that guitar for 200$ and walked away with 54,800$ more.
ОтветитьThe sort of a rockstar comment was pretty disrespectful, Vic should of said ya well ur sort of a actor/celebrity LOL
ОтветитьI just cannot believe that he would sell that guitar. Unless I would lose my home, I would never sell it if I owned it and played all that classic music with it.
ОтветитьVic Flick looks great for 83!
ОтветитьJ ai une strat plus de. 1990
ОтветитьNeck pickup is not original, that should have been mentioned!
ОтветитьIt`s like cutting off your arm selling that stick !!
Ответитьtop man love vic flick
ОтветитьIt's too bad Pawn Stars is Fake!!!
ОтветитьWow it’s now for sale in Australia
ОтветитьI would of politely asked Vic if he would sign it, maybe get a pic to help the value before I made the deal. I mean, he's right there.
ОтветитьFunny he said a beer or two.
ОтветитьPhone a friend. LOL
ОтветитьThis guy has no idea how important to music he really is. His humbleness is incredible!
ОтветитьV. Flick is a legend. So cool to see him talk about this guitar and it's history.
Ответитьi wish i could buy it just so i could shake his hand and give it back to him .
Ответитьfirst time I see this person, vik flick, how he wears himself and acts, outwordly respectful, humble and powerful at the same time. he needed to sell it, this says a lot hopefullly he resolved his problems after that. amazing character, he tried to belittle himself cuz anything that he could say is legendary =)
