How much RAM do you need in 2024? 8 GB vs 16GB vs 32 GB vs 64GB / Test in 10 Games / 2160p - 4K

also in 4k most of my games can use 24gb more or less but if your 4k gaming then you truly want 32gb or more

I'm shocked to see that in several games 32gb ram didn't prevent a loss in fps. I thought it would just be the same as 64gb.

bought a new pc rtx3060 12gb i5 12400f 16gbram 3200mhz(there is just not a pc w 32gb to buy even if i pay for it only the 4070 or higher sees to get higher ram in the store pc in sweden)

Why do pc only have 16gb ram and 500-1000gb ssd/nvme drives as an ordinary prebuilt pc from stores usually have if not paying very very much n get a rtx4090 or similar pc)

8gb in my old pc w gtx1650 was to little even a few years ago n updated it to 16gb and that worked great 2023 so 2024 has this year something bigger instore for the ram size???

Until the first games of the next console generation you wont need more than 16 gb dual chanel. 32gb or more its just a unnecessary and paranoid for just gaming.

Well just got a deal on 64 gigs was only 10 more then the 32 kit i was looking at so i said why not came here to see if it even mattered tho lol

16G still enough. Ryzen 7 5700g + 16g @4133mhz CL16 + B450 mobo here. Very good.

Seems like 16gigs is still a valid choice, but you can squeeze those few extra frames with doubling that. And if you have other programs in the background when gaming, 32gigs gets even more tempting...

32 GB is the standard of nowadays.
