"....and the chart smash of Hard Rock Cafe"....."   Er, not exactly. Number 30 in the U.S. and number 18 in Australia, is hardly indicative of a chart "smash". That's not to take anything away from the song though. It's lively and joyful. Good one, Carole !

Love that Latin sound! This is one of the forgotten Latin pop gems, right up there with Neil Diamond's "Cherry Cherry," Jay and the Americans' "Come a Little Bit Closer," Richie Valens' "La Bamba," 1910 Fruitgum Co.'s "Simple Simon Says," and the Stones' "Get Off My Cloud." I heard "Hard Rock Cafe" only twice in '77, and I'm so glad to hear it again! Thank you!!!!

Always liked this song, it was a minor hit on the radio in 1977. The only time I ever saw CK live in concert was when she was touring for the Simple Things album in 1977. I can still remember what she was wearing that evening. Good memories!
