I'll admit im a total n00b when it comes to the MiSTer Project and FPGA, so if i missed anything or made an error somewhere please let me know. Have a great week!
Ответитьthat case/shell is SO much less ugly than mine 😂
Ответить😍😍😍😍😍
ОтветитьI'm replacing my old classic hardware with a MiSTer (bought a "fully loaded" MiSTer today). I just don't have time or the inclination to maintain my old machines anymore. I'm selling them on to other collectors so they don't end up rotting down in my shed and be lost forever.
ОтветитьAm in love with Mister FPGA I have one attached with Arcade cabinet another one attached with crt TV and one to play pc games and a DE 10 nano as backup in case of any problem happened.
ОтветитьYes I get where you are coming from. I have 90k ROMS in my launchbox setup
ОтветитьUsing the Mister for 3 years now, its worth every fucking penny!!!!
ОтветитьAll the research I've seen which discusses cooling says that a cooling fan is complete overkill and causes more problems than it fixes. It's loud and it causes dusting issues. The chip itself is industrial design and only needs a passive heat sink just as many of the chips used in industrial cnc equipment.
ОтветитьDefinitively an investment. Almost on par with a Neo Geo AES console, with a cheap game cartridge if you're lucky.
ОтветитьCan you please tell RGT85 to get a MISTer
Ответитьvery nice - what cabinet is that?
Ответитьshould I call it Mista?
ОтветитьI bought 2 DE-10 Nano's way back before Covid. I was playing with them for a bit, but Covid came and unlike others I actually worked more during Covid than any other time, so I put them on the shelf. I work in IT in an industry that wasn't impacted during Covid, and in fact we were extra busy during that time. Fast forward to today and I decide to play around with MiSTer a bit. I had already burned it into one of the boards and I was playing with it a bit prior to the shutdown, but I wanted to go all in. Then I noticed the price on those DE-10 Nanos! Unbelievable. I could sell both of mine and make my mortgage payment :D. I won't, of course, but it's ridiculous how much people are gouging.
ОтветитьCost... cost...
ОтветитьLoved seeing some classics in the opening scenes: Last Ninja and Stunts
ОтветитьGreat roundup, really interesting, but it feel similar to the Raspberry Pi's they simply don't exist....(in stores).
That makes it really hard not to go 2-click solution with a 25 € Mac Mini and Open Emu.
Did you use a wireless controller with your mister console and if so which one would you recommend?
ОтветитьRobert P is also developing a Nintendo 64 core for the MiSTer, never thought we'd see N64 on MiSTer, wow just wow
ОтветитьSo it has no input lag, similar to an Analgoue console? How is the input lag via usb or bluetooth?
Where is the best place to buy a consolized version these days?
Now you can run all this stuff on PC with no lag with the newest version of retroarch.
ОтветитьLike this retro game. Thank for sharing😍😍
ОтветитьThe MiSTer FPGA is worth every penny.
ОтветитьI just bought a new one for $600.... Im feeling like a clown.
Ответитьwhat capture card did you use for mister capture or do you use in general?
ОтветитьDigikey, Newark, Mouser, but mostly Digikey always seems to carry DE10-nano for 150$. Or you can go on intel's site and look under suppliers. That FPGA is manufactured by intel. It's an Altera Cyclone V. The FPGA itself is 50$ if someone was to mass purchase them.
ОтветитьHow about the sound! Sega genesis had the Yamaha sound chip
ОтветитьI hate to say it but I am extremely disappointed by the de 10 nano. Of course analog connection and native controllers are the appeal here but a raspberry pi 4 is far more impressive when you put the capability in perspective
ОтветитьWhat case did you use?
Ответитьmister
ОтветитьSolid!
Top KEK!
looks awesome, too bad you cant buy one
ОтветитьI built a MiSTer just for the computer cores, and ended up using it to create my first homebrew. It allowed me to catch bugs that would’ve slipped had I only used emulators.
ОтветитьCan we play psp games
ОтветитьReally would like to grab one of those Jammix boards no luck finding them right now sadly
ОтветитьWhy is it called Mister?
ОтветитьThat´s the coolest Mister Case ever. Where did you buy it?
ОтветитьVery nice 👍
ОтветитьThis is an awesome project and is doing a great job from what i see i the video. My only problem is, that i already made exactly something like this with Batocera on a dedicated minipc intel nuc with a gorgeous interface easy to scrool and a plesure to navigate for even a 5 year old, with over 2k games that work flawlessly with bluetooth controlers with all major arcade platforms up to ps1. Is all set and is small and i have lan connection to it to. Is software emulation not hardware, cost me nothing because was made from old pc i did not used, but in the end if it works....and most important is easy for a child to navigate in it and looks amazing and has game descriptions and cover artwork. Idk, i do not miss the bulky and cluncky machines or the old 386 with monochromatic duotone monitors, i miss the games.
ОтветитьGood for people in China otherwise this is only for true nerds
ОтветитьHere we are 7 months later and Saturn development on the MiSTer has come a long way. Tons of compatible games running perfectly!
ОтветитьSounds like MVG isn't giving MISTer back. Cool project. The best projects are group labors of love.
ОтветитьMr Mister is the greatest band of the 80s because billy sheenan played bass if you don't accept that then no no mister
ОтветитьSeems like you want to be thanking intel for providing those FPGAs at a reasonable price. You can see on the board that it was made for uni students to do prototyping, which means that this device was most likely subsidized.
Ответитьtoo bad I will never get one :(
ОтветитьI can not see where it emulate hardware anywhere ? it looks like a collection of emulators running on top of Linux so far
ОтветитьWhen I saw DoDonPachi I wished I could upvote twice, and fact that the footage is followed up by Metal Slug is just icing on the cake.
