i was doing ashen voyages for grinding to PL in devils roar, and i was going to go hand it in (also under a very strict schedule as my buildings power was about to go off) so i barely had any time to be able to sell everything. and as i was around 5 minutes till power goes out, i get attacked by the kracken. RIGHT outside the OUTPOST so i got delayed, THEN MY SHIP SUNK AT THE OUTPOST AND I HAD GROG BARRELS MAKING IT HARDER TO SWIM HOLDING THEM

If you ever feel bad about doing a steal I always follow this rule of it is anything below captain’s chest or villainess bounty skull because then it’s not worth it for the time or energy of either party.

Oh come on, a really similar scenario happened to me yesterday, I'm now dissapointed that we weren't on the same server.

I yesterday stole 2 chests of legends from a FOD stack. I think in your situation I would suggest tucking by the cannons or at the tent so that you can see what's going on. This allows choosing the best timing for your steal rather than just relying on luck. If you walked out of the bottom deck at the wrong moment you could've gotten blundered, so I suggest to not tuck there. Also the rowboat could've been taken right behind the tower to make it less noticeable.

Speaking of megs, maybe they should add a mechanic that affects spawn rate depending on amount of meat in barrels

I ended up soloing two FoFs late last night when I originally went on a Fishing Adventure for Milestones, but also getting the last Rare fish I needed to complete Comms for Wildsplash and Islehoppers. I was nervous and paranoid, since I was a solo and I did see an Emissary ship on the horizon both times. But luckily, I was left alone and was able to solo both, netting me 2 more Chests of Fortune (aka: Zelda Chests) and Grade IV for Athena Kegs sold

Cant blame the reaper for rage quoting I did because fog and an active skull fort knocked me off and made me sink with my legend of the veil loot

about the megs: in season nine, they increased the spawn rate of all emergent enemies: skelly ships, krakens and megs. they did that due to the lack of content between islands and the seas feeling empty

If you don't have to go looking for things when you need them you're way better off

Just this week I managed to do a Fort of the Damned and Fort of Fortune in the same session! While with the fort I was only able to get and sell the Chest of Fortune before a chading Brig got me, I still walked away that night with 100,000 more gold.

Great steal haven’t seen a chest yet took a month break just as fun as I remember
