Meh, troubling no mention of main female character in space monkey analysis though see her briefly at end of YT vid as her and male lead are shown at film's end.

Damn, crazy how this story mirrors almost perfecly the Andrew Tata cult of today. Word for word. You don't escape the matrix, you join the fight club and become a space monkey.

Interesting perspective on this movie. Although there are several links to various philosophers and writers, I believe Palahniuk had a very different idea and intention in mind. I applaud your sincere efforts, exploration and production though. Now, "where is my mind?"

"The psychological rule says that when an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside as fate. That is to say, when the individual remains undivided and does not become conscious of his inner opposite, the world must perforce act out the conflict and be torn into "coincidentia oppositorum" opposing halves. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the (the thing a person has no wish to be) darkness conscious. The latter procedure, however, is disagreeable and therefore not popular. There is no generally effective "shadow work" technique for assimilating the shadow. It is more like diplomacy or statesmanship and it is always an individual matter. First one has to accept and take seriously the existence of the shadow. Second, one has to become aware of its qualities and intentions. This happens through conscientious attention to moods, fantasies and impulses. Third, a long process of negotiation is unavoidable."

Watching this again two years later and I can’t help but giggle about getting so many ads.
I don’t mind the channel getting as revenue. The content is top tier. I just find it ironic I suppose… that I’m willing to sit thru the ads to hear about my favorite movie from one of my favorite channels. Sacrifice.

I watched this movie when I was 16, on psychology class, our teacher liked to watch movies that kinda have something to do with mental illness (like personality disorders), and damn I'm grateful for watching this movie. Kinda showed me how to be free and what happens when you follow somebody else's way of thought

Although it is very important to not become a spacemonkey of a father figure, there is also a very real possibility of falling prey to many who sell pleasure. I feel during different stages of life we are susceptible to various forms of degeneracy and those who dont have a strong opposing force to that, lose themselves to it.

"Fight Club" was a warning. A warning of chasing the power-fantasy of becoming a sexy-badass god-king, where the sexy-badass god-king is quite literally the projected power-fantasy of a sad, impotent man-baby. That's what that whole gut-punch reveal of Tyler Durden being The Narrator's imaginary friend was all about- the reveal that what was thought to be a source of salvation is actually a destructive force of damnation. Tyler Durden is a skinhead. "Project Mayhem" is a neo-fascist terrorist cell, and everything its chaos and evil stands for stems from the blithering entitlement and directionless rage of emasculated dweeblings who no one should listen to.

Closest we ever got to Tyler Durden in the modern world is Andrew Tate... and he's in jail on sex-trafficking charges. His legacy will be that of a criminal pimp-lord the Internet mistook for the aforementioned sexy-badass god-king.

It's not about following one particular man, it's about finding and supporting a purpose that resonates with your soul.

Men are conflicted by nature. As soon as Tyler, their leader, starts back tracking agains Project Mayhem those still on ship act accordingly to safeguard the Misson, not the man. Big movements in humanity are oftentimes called "Solid Game States."

It's about being humanitie's space monkey, so that future generations can look back with some degree of confidence and say "He died for a real purpose." I want that.

We need to cross the new Atlantic. Set sail on the new aged Metal Mayflower before those in control of this world are forced to enforce even more sick and twisted psychological traps to reduce our global population.

Instead of medicating their balls off, we'll punt those football heads to Mars!

Its not that simple!
Actualy its possible to follow someone, if whatever that he is leading, the ends of means, resonate with you.
Look back at revolutionary wars!
Powerful men, monarchs, were ruling europe and world. But people decided that it is a time for a change. If the people themselves wouldnt feel that what they follow feels right, they wouldnt do it.
Its not enough for someone to be a man or strong.
