Ronnie still needs to lose like 35 pounds or so. Sorry Dorian had the best combination of mass and conditioning. Ronnie holds way to much water and looks 6 to 7 weeks out here. Not knocking Ronnie i like Ronnie but Ronnie even at his leanest was not even as dry as Dorian.

Not sure if they are exactly the same magnification.

As always, great concept once again - HOWEVER, this could have been sooo much better had the scaling not been so far off. You have Yates looking like Dexter Jackson next to Ronnie. Ronnie was 287 in '03, Yates 257 in '93, yet you have Coleman looking 50-60 lbs bigger here. You always need to compare the size of the heads, and hands, to get in the ballpark. Ronnie is bald, with a smallish head, compared to Yates, who even with hair, his head appears small next to Coleman here. Same with the hands. Yates is slightly taller than Coleman, as can be seen in the couple rare comparisons where they are on stage together in '96 in a grand prix show. Yet in this vid, Yates appears shorter. With your expertise, I'm sure you can get the scaling more accurate. Maybe next time.

I feel like the size difference isnt that big between the two. Ronnie is kindof oversized in this video. Dorian was absolutely massive himself.

I never cared for mass monsters. Once these 2 rose to the fore, I feel bodybuilding went too far off the reservation in terms of what the sport was supposed to be about. That being said, you would have to be a hard-core delusional Dorian Yates fanboy, to say that he beats Ronnie Coleman here. Coleman looks literally like a maxed out scientific experiment. His sheer structure, muscle fullness, density and flow, overcomes by a country mile Yates conditioning. Yates doesn't have biceps, while Coleman has miniature mountain peaks. And for Yates that is a big weakness to have at this level. Yates has an ugly flow and a blocky midsection. His chest and clavicle width can't overcome that. Coleman isnt an adonis in the midsection either but his sheer mass( his chest rivals Schwarzenegger) hides it well and his flow is superior to Yates, it's very noticeable. And Colemans legs and shredded glutes and striations just eclipse Yates. If Yates was by himself you would think he looks like a marble statue but, Coleman looks like a scientific experiment maxed out to its limit. Like a mutant. Yates by comparison looks simply like a good competitor.

I’d be giving Ronnie a 2 point win in the back lat spread. It is just the most dominating pose I’ve ever seen he is too goddamn big everywhere - but in the flip side I personally would give Dorian a 2 point win in the front lat spread. It’s the perfect FLS for a mass guy - he is huge his lats are wide as a fucking house but he is still shapely sharp midsection is amazing - Ronnie’s front lat spread 03 was 1 pose where all that mass was just too much. Even the side tricep I think Ronnie looks ok but that front lat spread it’s just too big

Dorian’s rear double is overrated asf. Yes, it is hard and grainy but it’s flat. Lacks the 3D that Ronnie and Phil had. His shoulders and arms are terrible and his upper traps are weak. Downstairs. His quad sweep is non-existent.

Awesome work. I do think scaling is off a bit. I know Ronnie had more mass, but the difference was not this much. I know Ronnie will win most mass comparisons, however this is bodybuilding which takes into account aethetics and conditioning, Dorian wins in my book.

Dorian always looked in better condition, steel hard, yea Ronnie is bigger but condition wise, always Dorian for me. Just my opinion.

I think these people watching this must have like lost their vision or something Dorian is clearly the superior bodybuilder it's not about who weighs more Ronnie looks like a bloated holding water mess there's no way those judges would give him this contest if you stood him next to Dorian with that paper thin skin in that kind of condition and by the way during Wait about 270 lb there if you stood them side by side not in a picture like you're doing Ronnie would not be bigger than him not by much most of their career Dorian was bigger than Ronnie let's be real here Dorian would have beaten him Ronnie almost looks fat when you stand him next to Dorian his belly bulging out everywhere there's no way a judge could give a man with a belly that big the win over somebody as shredded and perfectly shaped as Dorian no way

With this video, side by side comparison the size difference between Ronnie and, not just Dorian but, every other Mr. Olympia competitor in history is much more evident. When people in the comments of vs. videos are always saying about Ronnie's size in 03 giving him the edge in poses where the focus of the pose is close; they really aren't exaggerating. He was the best bodybuilder of all time on that stage in 03.

Thank you for the video, however, your sizing of the individuals are way off and this gives Ronnie an unfair advantage. It is abundantly clear that this video shows Ronnie as a closer image to that of Dorian. Very important to note that Dorian and Ronnie are the same height, however, in your video, it seems that Ronnie is viewed to be way taller - This is exemplified due to the mismatched individual characters.

This was close, your scaling is off tho, you can tell even from DY's head he was too small here for this comparison. But comparisons aside I mostly agree, but I feel the rear double bi and rear latspread is not totally in RC's court, it's a really close call here, I'd prolly call it a draw in many ways (on these two poses).

Very impressive editing. Unfortunately the angle of each original video makes this look odd :). Dorian’s head (& upper body) is too small/Ronnies too big because of the lower camera angle (below the stage looking up), whilst Ronnie’s appears more straight on.

Still, what stands out is Dorian’s superior detail/separation; in comparison Ronnie looks not quite competition ready; he’s too bloated and full of water.

‘98 (aside from Gyno) & ‘99 Ronnie would be a better comparison

Dorian is great .Condition , graininess .But Ronnie just Carrie’s soooo much mass everywhere .Ronnie really looks like a carton character .

I have to hard disagree on what you said for/how you scored almost every pose

FDB- easy 3 point win for Ronnie. Perfect X-frame and he flows well despite his midsection because everything is just so damn big. Dorian literally doesn’t even have biceps compared to Ronnie and his flow is bad imho. He’s blocky around the abs and too shallow up top to balance it out.

ST- other than the tricep Dorian is literally getting dwarfed. The only other thing Dorian has is execution, but this is a 1 point win at most. 3 points is absolutely ridiculous when you literally look like a classic physique competitor next to your opponent.

AT- it’s the same story. Ronnie is just so much bigger and doesn’t flow too awfully. 1 point for Dorian imo.

FLS- should be at least 2 points for Ronnie. His lats pop almost as well as Dorians (who has a better camera angle for this pose) and he literally looks like a whole different species size wise.

BDB- again at least 2 points for Ronnie. Bigger back, actually has biceps and absolutely dominates in the lower half. The only thing Dorian has is definition.

BLS- 3 points for Ronnie. The conditioning edge from the BDB is almost gone in this pose. You are again left with what looks like open vs. classic physique. Hell with that lower body Ronnie makes Dorian look like a mens physique athlete even.

Overall should have been a way easier Domination for Ronnie imo.

Ronnie still wins 10/10 times tho. His muscle shape is just too much better. Flex and Kevin and Sean all pushed Dorian because of their shape. Ronnie had that same shape, but managed to throw more size on than all of them.

He dwarfed Kevin and flex by the end.

honestly dorian's back double bicep never really did it for me. For some reason his wide lats don't flare out in the pose, that plus his wide waist and lack of outer quad sweep makes his x-frame really mediocre. Sure he has his strong points like his huge traps and overall back detail and hardness as well as his huge calves, but even taking those into account the balance is off, his muscles don't pop one bit and his asymmetry is very apparent (although admittedly Ronnie's asymmetry is comparable).

I'm a big Dorian Yates guy, but the only shot where I see him beating Coleman is in the front abs/thighs. Coleman was absolutely enormous and ripped that year. I think the great Kevin Levrone said it best: "He came out looking like a Silverback Gorilla."
