Pre alpha game of an upcoming game means that they use low poly environment to fully test out the gameplay mechanics and physics.

The devs already have high poly models and environment ready. They only build the high poly world when the gameplay seems perfect enough.

That's why the pre alpha are also called as sample scenes used for gameplay modification purposes.

ngl gta 6 looks great for being in alpha. seeing the gta 6 gameplay actually gave me hope for rockstar bc i always thought they were just milking gta 5 online and killing off red dead online just to milk gta 5 online more, but im glad to see gta 6 still looks really good in alpha. its crazy rockstar games in development look better than most EA games lol

Saying gta 6 will be on a level of rdr2 is a kick in the dick for a lot of gamers… don’t get me wrong, imo rdr2 is one of the best games ever made, if not the best! But we must remember that this game is 5 years old now so for us to be waiting for a game which sounds like they are just copying over the best features of RDR2 into gta 6 is an insult to the gamers who have been waiting for release!
